LG is already used to this. ... moreso u murmuring for optimus G.. well lets see how many units it sells n m sure it wont sell more than 5 millions unit as that on same time that S3 sold 20 millions... high benchmarks does not mean phone is perfect... even S3 beats optimus G in some benchmark scores too... even optimus G is shipping with ICS out of the box while S3 has got JB... god knows when optimus G will get JB as looking on their(LGs) record track for OS updation, it takes a much more longer than usual n it is biggest disadvantage for LG despite of making good phones, they lack here...

It seems to me they soon will be launching qudcore lte in north america so they are selling this dual core cheaply.

Waiting for the next GSIV would be much better than buying any Optimus series. For example, My SGS3 has a 2100 mAh batt which is smaller than Optimus 4x with a 2140 mAh. But what the hell has happened? My SGS3 can play video for 10 hours and 5h 17mins for browsing. At the same time what can your Opt. 4x could do? Lord, your Optimus 4x could play video for only 5 hours and browse the internet less than 4 hours. Lol. Hahaha.
Comparing A9 to A15 is far from being fair. Let's see what the next Galaxy S4 could do and we'll compare it to OptimusG. I could imagine how SGS4 will come with a full HD 1.080p 5" Super Amoled Plus, 32/64/128 GB int storage with SD card slot, 100 GB Dropbox, 4 or 8 GB RAM and so on.... Then your Optimus G will be ended, dying with painful death. Lol. Hahaha.

But you compare your experience with O2X versus the experience with S3...this is fair? Compare the S3 with the newest Optimus G and then you will see that you made the wrong choice. And I don't know what to say about LG being an unknown company, they are top 3 in electronics market.
You find what's good in a phone in any other phones than an LG, even if it has the best specs and build quality. Who told you to buy a O2X when on the market was the S2? If you are such a sammy fanboy, you should have taken the S2....but no, you wanted something more cheaper, and LG offered the same experience as the S2, but at a much lower price, and now you blast this phone company because you don't know how to use a phone like O2X. And bare in mind that LG was first and will be first on every future smartphone generations. They set the standard on this phone market, and all the others copy their features.

Stop promoting any other vendors here. Exynos is the king of performance and S Amoled is the best screen ever. You can blame SGS3 as a crappy plastic phone but so far it's sold like crazy.
LG is a good vendor as well and I highly recommend you Optimus series if you like them. But I have my own trouble along with Optimus 2x. My GS3 has changed my mind. I'm waiting for the S3's successor.
Don't forget, for IPS screen lover please see HTC, see no more coz HTC has Super IPS3 LCD, much better than LG's IPS2.
Again, in my country LG smartphone is categorized as "others" or "misc", even compared to any cheap chinese droid phones. Lol. Hahaha.

The you call yourself a... moreFrom the way you talk i 100% you never laid a hand on HD SAmoled because you can change the mode on it and be less saturated or Cinema mode or whatever mode while your old SLCD2 technology that battery hog can't give you these options only one mode which is less customized and most people buy Android for more customizations!
And how did you know S4 is the best? Last i checked Exynos A9 Killed S4 A15! Imagine in few days Samsung will lunch their A15! If A9 killed this A15 What A15 Exynos will do?

And it been said in GSMarena Optimus G has fixed 32GB only AT&T has 16GB+MicroSD but still S3 is better and I'm talking about more than a year old device S3 vs latest LG device Optimus G and BTW LG didn't make anything to be brag about its Qualcomm technology while Exynos is pure Samsung so Samsung can put this S4 chip on too if they want to.

Oh my god America, do you really think these phones are $99? Who cares? You're still getting ripped off.
You should be getting them all for damn free, at the monthly service cost you're getting slugged by Verizon and AT&T.
You can get these things for free on contract starting on a $50/month plan with Virgin Mobile Australia. Sure you only get 250 minutes of calls and 1.25 GB data, but that's all some people need. We don't pay for inbound calls here either. That's another USA rip off.
Or if you want unlimited calls/txts/mms and the usual 5 GB LTE data, $89/month 2yr service contract. Again, free phone.

They know nothing about a phone, they only praise their phone because they paid a large amount of money and they don't want to look bad in front of their friends having a bad phone, they know that their phone isn't the way they describe it, but they enter these discussions only to show off with their stupid phone, making other phone manufacturers look bad. How is an S3 better than the Optimus G, when the Optimus G is better in every single aspect, except the microsd slot?
You say the S3 has a bigger screen...omg, 4.8" vs 4.7" is indeed a big difference, my bad I didn't realise(i'm being ironic). Its performance doesn't match G's performance, check the benchmark tests and you will see that the LG is twice better than the second placed handset. AMOLED better than IPS-LCD? HAHAHA!!! This is the best joke I heard today. This TRUE HD IPS-LCS display is the best on the market, as on Optimus 4X HD and HTC ONE X or X+. The battery life, as Anonymous said it lasts a day minimum. The update problem doesn't exist anymore on LG handsets, this phone was launched in september, and Korea already had JB only 2 weeks after the phone was launched. Future updates will come on all handsets until January 2013. But bare in mind that this phone wasn't even launched worldwide yet and it is already much better rated than any other samsung, htc, nokia, motorola or any other manufacturer's high end handsets. It is said that it will come with 32 GB internal storage and 32 GB microsd slot. That's why the worldwide launch is postponed, to fix this problem.
And Snapdragon S4...come on. We know you know they know. This is the best processor till now.
I'm honestly sick and tired fighting everyday with these fanboys who don't know anything other than their handsets. It will be like Barcelona and Real Madrid, Samsung and LG, when Barcelona played good, all kids said they were Barcelona fans since they were little, and when last year Real Madrid won PRIMERA DIVISION, they said they were Real Madrid fans. This will happen with Samsung too, when people will realise how fake is Samsung's image that they created these years.
"We provide on time updates, we have the best features, the best phones...". They launch their handsets full of bugs, only to give their customers later on the feeling of updating their phones. Bugs will be no more, but they should have released the phone without the bugs from the beginning if they want to have credibility. Their fanboys don't realise this, because they are mainly spoiled and rich kids who can afford everything, like Apple fans too.
These days, technology reaches to anyone, and not to connoiseurs, like it should have.

If you like oversaturated colours, it's ok to have an S3. I honestly tell you to search the web for Optimus G reviews and you will see how this phone is constantly praised, not only for its screen, but for its design, performance, features and even price. Even if it's not yet launched worldwide, it will have a price of 600-800$ for the unlocked version, which is still better than the S3 at its launch. Pfff...leave fanboy! If you had 2X you are blinded by the fact that it didn't get updates, and you don't know how good LGs are now. The battery on Optimus G lasts only 6 hours? Get a grip of yourself! It lasts a day minimum. Search the web, don't only talk based on your "vast" experience. The S3 comes with 2 GB of RAM only in US, the international version comes with 1 GB of RAM, but with quad core, unlike the US version which comes with dual core. Anyway, both versions are way under Optimus G's performance. The Optimus G will be updated to JB too. Even without the JB, it beats your S3 real bad, so why are you so unrealistic? By the way, in case you didn't know Qualcomm snapdragon s4 is the best processor that runs on smartphones now. As a conclusion, where is your S3 better? The fact is that you are a real hater and you are sammy all the way, no matter if there are better phones on the market, and this behaviour is present on all sammy fanboys.

-Both come with 2GB Ram
-S3 has better internal storage 16/32/64 + MicroSD WHILE Optimus G fixed 32GB
-SAmoledHD more enjoyable than SLCD2 only in white... Also SAmoledHD can be changed from settings to any mode while SLCD2 only one mode, And don't forget S3 has bigger display.
-S3 has way more battery life while Optimus G 1% goes in every 3 mins = not longer than 6 hours!
-S3 has better speaker... Check db in GSMarena.
-MOST Important better update... I'm a victim i bought LG G2X still on GB and fulled with bugs i even downgrade it to Froyo and still no ICS or JB while S2 has leaked JB and will have official one too and LG always locked their bootload... So that i sold it to 100$ in Ebay! I bought it 799$ from Amazon.
-Even CPU/GPU i know 100% Krait Quad or Dual both are the same crap so no big difference... Exynos all the way
