The g7 was the best 1440p 240hz option last year, really sad that there isn't a 240hz successor to it. I was going to buy

OMG they look awful with two blobs hanging under either side. They are all a bit small too, the 28" should have been 1440p, 32" is a better size for 4K.

Anonymous, 22 Jun 2021The funny things is, that other companies that use Samsung ... moreAs far as I know, Samsung makes some of the best VA panels. I'm not sure if they still make IPS panels, though. As for monitors themselves - ASUS makes some of the best hardware to drive those monitors (modules that provide voltage and stuff), thus they have slightly better image compared to some other companies, but they also charge extra for it.

I'm not very knowledgeable in the topic, though, so you'd have to ask someone else for details.

They finally gave up on those useless curved screens found on the current G7 series. But it seems that the panels are a bit of a downgrade. IPS not Oled and only 28 inchi diagonal. Wish there was a 32 inchi version like the current series.

Weren't they all about curved displays, and how they would be ergonomically better for your eyes and immersion and such, just until last year?

VA screen panel for a gaming monitor? Not sure if I would buy that. G70A looks interesting because of its 4K resolution, but I'm not into 4K gaming. So between the three, I'd pick the middle G50A. QHD resolution is more than good enough for me.

I don't know for sure but I think Asus uses mostly Samsung panels! XD

I've been waiting for a 32 inch flat panel... I guess I'll just go with IPS model from ASUS.
