Would somebody ask GsmArena to write a article on how DISAPPOINTED and FRUSTRATED Sony customers are so that the world can know how Sony treat the people support them!!!!!

Has you know Xperia Mini or Xperia Arc S don't have to much internal memory for Android OS and User Space. If Jelly Bean need's more storage the user will have no space left for any third part apps.

What about the Xperia SL which was just released LAST MONTH? Released 2012, September.
Does this mean Sony Mobile is telling the public NOT to buy the Xperia SL because its life cycle will be very short?
At least, its predecessor Xperia S has had a longer useable life. Not to mention, the S is projected to receive the Vanilla Android treatment. The SL isn't expected to go anywhere?

I am so disappointed of Sony. The Nexus S is pretty the same as my fomar Sony's flagship Xperia Arc S but it does have JB for about 3 months but I will never feel JB. I will never buy Sony again. The old 3GS gets the new iOS6 which is 3 years old but my 1 years old Arc S will not taste JB. SHAME ON YOU SONY! If I do the mistake again to buy Android phone that will be Nexus.

I can look to the most criticized "dead-end" OS in this regard (WP7) and realize that all their phones are still getting updates to W7.8 (and other service updates), they just aren't going to WP8 because the hardware is different.
In the Android world, I can look to the Nexus line (which is made by different manufacturers) and see all their recent phones are getting updated.
Then I can look to the rest of the Android world and realize that going from 4.0->4.1 is considered such a "great feat" that manufacturers feel they can get away by not doing it, because "good costumers" will excuse this kind of behavior and the cash flow of new sales will not decline by pulling these antics.
That is why I call all fellow Androiders to speak the only language they do know, that is let the money talk and don't buy from them until this issue is resolved.
This article is about Sony, I do have a Sony so guess what... I am talking about Sony (but not limited to).

This is pathetic, if this continues we better shift to apple at least they give better updates. even 3gs got iOS 6. Sony pls improve.

Your only doubt is if you'll have this drama right now or a few moths from now.
Hopefully it will get JB (it's from the 2012 lineup, everything Xperia U/P gets Sola will get too, because they are essentially the same SoC).
One thing I can tell you is this, if I knew this was how Sony was going to play this game then I wouldn't have bought a phone from them.

I regret buying sony xperia u.ics update not yet available here in the philippines. How i wish i bought htc or any windows phone instead or iphone 4. Ill replace this phone before the end of the year. Bye bye sony

CyanogenMod only works well if the drivers/modules for your phone are made available by the manufacturers. Guess what, (in your own words) if manufactures don't "seed" updated versions then you wont have nice and stable versions of CM.
The only phones which have 100% support under custom ROMs are the Nexus line, all others usually end up with some sort of "trade-of" (that can go from something minor to huge stability issues).
For instance, no way the flagship Arc S will ever have HDMI supported under CM. That is one of the many "trade-ofs" possible.
