Still can't believe Sony monile survived while LG mobile didn't.

It still baffles me why they didn't do the same thing Sony did.

But I do believe some executives in LG are willing to resurrect the brand in the next 7 years or so.

The design looks gorgeous. Espexially with that gold accents

Anonymous, 23 Jun 2021LG should have: - Left the markets sales were pretty ba... moreAbsolutely agree with the 4th point. I think I can at most accept the single-SIM vs dial-SIM and some frequency band differences between markets, but not others, definitely not cameras, RAMs and storages

I started to appreciate the general design of the Velvet series, although the G series' design still attracts me more. Just found some cons in my opinion:

              - removing the headphone jack and Hi-Fi Quad DAC
              - opting for punch holes, simply disgusting. Notches are much better than it. Leaving symmetrical bezels for the selfie camera should be the best option (if not yet able to make UD cameras)
              - for me, the absence of dual-screen accessory, but it may be okay for such a low production volume

Given the first two points, even if I'm able to buy the phone, I won't use it as my daily driver, but still obviously worthwhile to have one to use in different purposes

                    LG should have:

                    - Left the markets sales were pretty bad and focused on places situation was much better.
                    - killed K series, waste of R&D
                    - less devices per year , no need to make more than 6.
                    - same devices for different markets, not removing DAC or one camera (like G6 or variants G8s, G8x, ...)
                    - not performed downgrades seen on v60, done by removing things V40/50 had.

A man of culture I see with that intro😂😂

That black and gold combo looks phenomenal.

A bar-shaped flagship LG smartphone without a headphone jack, let alone a built-in DAC? Good thing this isn't on sale as this would be yet another generic Apple and Samsung jack-less clone. I rather not see LG trying to keep up with the (hopeless) trend. They showed that they can be different and attractive at the same time. Since the moment I first saw the V50 with its detachable DualScreen case and the built-in DAC, I stopped looking at other flagship phones including the foldable screen type. Suddenly, they all look dull.

It's sad that even the software looks so mature, along with the specs and the overall design.

I guess they really were trying this time around in the hopes of not getting closed down, but alas, sad that it still happened.
