These days brands are focusing in good camera quality which only points to prove that consumers are looking for handset which has good camera quality.
Rest are exceptions like you.

    $77m is roughly 150k units sold. Considering China's huge population, this easy to achieve. No bs.

For me it's one of the last things I'm bothered about. Unless it's absolutely trash like VGA quality all modern phone cameras do a good enough job for my needs. I don't print photos off very often and mostly it's to take pictures of things like documents or objects I need to show other people which don't need to be SLR quality just clear enough on my phone's screen. Battery life, good screen, decent 7xx or higher processor and stereo speakers are way more important than top notch camera on my shopping list. I know many people consider the camera as the most important part of a new phone but the user experience as a whole is I think more important. It drives me mad when over half a review of a new phone covers every aspect of its camera tech but fails to point out things like call quality, WiFi stability etc you know things that a phone is actually intended for. Anyways as usual that's just my opinion, feel free to agree or disagree, peace guys ✌️

Oppo, Oneplus and Vivo for example have GMS on most Chinese models. They won't have the play store and Google apps pre-installed but do have GMS. Xiaomi usually have it on their snapdragon 800 series phones but not midrangers or Mediatek models. I don't know whether or not the Chinese models of the Honor 50 series have it. Although many phones have GMS though you can't use the Google apps due to them being blocked

                              no surprise to me, I have been saying for ten years, it's always been mostly about the camera. honor's 50 got it spot with tech, and style/design.
