How often do we play linpack? Never. And the webbrowsing benchmarks,lgog lost them all. Browsing is important coz we do it all the time. And it has no cardslot and it has old version android. Theres nothing great there, except the linpack benchmark, can anyone tell me why i need to run linpack when i am out and about? I rather insert a memory card with some new tv series episodes if i have time to spare, now i just need to know how do i do that on the lgog? Can linpack help me out here?

Jake, 23 Oct 2012A statement doesnt auto become a fact with ur declaration .... moreHe said specwise so he is kinda right. Specs are good but reality is different, and the specs have one serious shortcoming, the missing card slot, so specwise its not the best phone.
I had 32GB internal plus cardslot on my phone in 2009, so how anyone could want a phone without a cardslot now when its almost 2013 beats me. They must have very modest requirements to a cellphone, and if they have modest requirements why would they demand quadcore krait and 2GB RAM and whatever?
LG fans here on gsmarena are interested only in L4 and L7. Then they pretend they like Optimus G that they cannot afford.

That is really subjective so UX would be a better parameter to look at. When comparing the flagship models from the two models, the Galaxy series deliver superior UX because it includes features like "smart stay," "pop up video play," etc. In aggregate, I feel like Samsung gives more values to the consumers

Just look at the selling numbers, Samsung is WAY in front of Sony in terms of selling. In consumer interest? Just look at GSMArena's daily interest. None of all Sony's phones are in the top10 list. So what? Optimus G is currently the best smartphone (at least spec-wise) on the planet, nothing can hide that fact.

This one is probably only around $500. Think before speak is much better than speaking without thinking. Why don't you put Optimus G instead?

The Note 10.1, GS3, Note 2 gpu are about 10 times faster than the one on the Xperia P. It has the same type of GPU, but it's different. Xperia P's using the single-core version with stock clock speed. GS2 using the quad-core version with stock clock speed. GS3, Note 10.1, Note 2 are using the overclocked quad-core version, and the difference is huge.

I knew these two device come from separate world, but in term of UI, device design, and keyboard, Sony actually win here. For the hardware performance, overall smoothness, and else of use, Samsung win big time even though both have similar GPU.

Samsung may be a better package for now, I repeat, for the moment!, but sony is waaay more advanced in ui and customization stuff. No argument in that department. Infact, let's put it this way, sony is simply all round entertainment. LONG LIVE PLAY, LONG LIVE SONY.
