Huawei Mate X2 4G goes on sale in China with HarmonyOS 2.0 out of the box

28 June 2021
This model still uses the Kirin 9000 chipset as the original 5G model. It is marginally cheaper, though not by any meaningful amount.

The internal screen is too soft. Unfortunately It easily leaves a dent if you apply a bit of pressure on it.

It's for China only. Don't understand why people outside China complain about the price of a device that they are going to get it. And I can assure you rich people in China will buy it. You don't have to worry about that either.

i think it's a bad move for the local market in china.. if someone is having a 4g than discover that someone got the 5g for almost the same price because of just harmonyos out of the box he's gonna be so furious.l I think. i would be anyway cause the os can be updated anytime.

Why is everyone making such a big deal about the Harmony OS theme/skin?

            YUKI93, 28 Jun 2021Only $46 difference? Well... what's the whole point of that?Beacause it still use 5G chip/SoC,the Baseband have 5G module,only lack of 5G RF antenna..
Huawei in short of 5G RF units due to US ban

Huawei should have reduced the price more to conjunre sales which it badly needs atm. No body is going to buy a 4g phone which is $46 cheaper than its 5g counterpart

YUKI93, 28 Jun 2021If the 4G version costs $146 or $246 or even $346 cheaper t... moreIt's pointless to get interior performance when you can get much superior performance at one third of the price. Moreover, foldable phones are still fragile.

Most importantly, 50£ price drop is a joke. We saw even midrangers having 100£ discount.

                  Huawei showing indomitable spirit.

If the 4G version costs $146 or $246 or even $346 cheaper than its 5G counterpart, that would make sense.

I am waiting for the moment when foldables starts at $999 with flagship chip, flexible hinge, durable enough, triple cameras (wide, uw, and 3x tele), 4 speakers, and at least 5k battery with fast wired and wireless charging with accessories in box.

Also, maybe at that time phones like the S21 Ultra at that time will start maybe around at $699
