Great for all the owners of those phones.
If feels weird when you read about "monthly update" and support for older phones when you have ahonor 8 which only got a couple of updates. My safety patch is from 01.10.18. (DDMMYY) The phone was released 11.08.16

I think honor departing from Huawei was a solid move.. I think the Google ban done honor a good thing.. onwards and upwards for these guys.

Then, Wouldn't it be better to re brand the HONOR devices with HMS (no GMS) to Huawei, to avoid the bad image for future phones?
Since, then My Honor 9x pro (UK, 2019) would become a Huawei 9x Pro (the only Huawei phone to ever launch with a pop-up camera, 256GB internal, SD slot, 3.5mm jack, aluminium frames)

I'm more concerned about HarmonyOS for Honor smartphones. Surely, most Kirin-powered Honor phones can be eligible for a HarmonyOS upgrade.
