Though peak brightness is higher with miniLED, they're off limits for everything except HDR content, which is very limited to say the least. Manual peak brightness for SDR content is only ~600nits, no higher than OLED. Subjective brightness may also be higher for OLED due to the absolute absence of blooming in low APL content. Blooming is just really ugly especially in dark mode UI.

    MiniLED is also not as efficient as regular LED, to the point that it's arguable whether miniLED or the latest OLED is more efficient. MiniLED may be somewhat easier on the eye though due to far higher PWM frequency, but I don't have a problem with most of the current OLED at most brightness levels.

      LTPO...2 years later, seems a bit late to the game. OLED still seems more prospective than miniLED as transition to microLED though.

It will take some time before we can even see a periscope telephoto camera on an iPhone.

              Its so true. Apple really are 3-4 years behind the technology ball as compared to the likes of Samsung... 120hz LTPO ipads in 2023 ROFLMAO

                        I thought miniLED on the iPad Pro had good enough black levels and much better brightness than OLED, or at least that's what the reviews said...
