People's now going crazy.. bigger screen resolutions, more cpu cores, bigger screen size, but battery is not developed much these years.. bigger capacity battery resulted a bigger physical size..
can you please first develop 5000mAH battery in a phone size? so that our phones can last 4-5 days in single charge, like the old days mobile phone can do. mobile phones should be "mobile", carry anywhere without worrying about battery and bring additional power bank or charger..
I just feel that wvga screen and 1ghz processor really enough on my lg optimus black. playing HD games is just too battery consuming for a phone, so I don't even need dual cores.

Once these mobile companies started camera mega pixel race but soon people found that 5 or 8 mp is enough for even an advance user. Then they started CPU core race but again people found that more than two core is just waste of battery charge(few might need quad core but hexa or octa core have no place in market). Now they started resolution race. . . What's next ;->

Tom, 23 Oct 2012What's the point of having 1080p mobile display....I don't ... moreNo offense, but maybe you have bad vision. There is a big difference between 1080p and 720P on a TV. The resolution may not be that obvious on a phone but the quality difference will show.

Apple has bought all Rights for Amled Screens and variety of patents from samsung since the release of I Phone 4. .. I bet we are going to see another court case or cat fight competition soon enough

400ppi on FullHD corresponds to 5.5".
I think and hope a little larger say 6" is where the dust settles corresponding to 367ppi which is plenty.

And how to explain the success of galaxy mote and the even bigger success of note II? I bought a note II and its the best no doubt. Big but not too big, its big in only good ways, you would know if u spent an hour with one.

all z perfect for thz phone but a exynos 5 chip will add butter on this bread along with mali 604 gpu whether dual or quad doesnt matters... may be its the front shell of upcoming galaxy S4 or another hybrid between samrtphone n phablet n may be nicknamed as "PHABLOID", the galaxy diary with s-pen coz at that high pixel density, the texts would be so crisp n clear n good for reading or writing anything on it... for those claiming its a copy, well samsung had never copied in screen department... htc one x n lg optimus 4x were announced with 4.7" display but S3 launched a 4.8", same they will do here n may be they'll launch it with 5.1", also S2 was first to have 4.3" display n.later on that size was brought up by others so what will u say is it a copy?? well the first company which made the phone should have right to sue all other companies coz all are copies of it then...

I can see from the sales figures of the Galaxy SIII and the Galaxy Note that Samsung are really regretting their terrible mistake of producing bigger screens than 4.5 inches. I also really regret owning my Galaxy Note and look forward to regretting my next one too.

300+ ppi is enough. We dont use microscope to view our messages and texts so stop competing on screen resolution.

Motorola RAZR MAXX HD, Motorola RAZR MAXX and Motorola RAZR i.
All of them with over 20 hrs talk time. And the MAXX ones superiour battery life on everything else as well.
How LG messed up the battery life on their Optimus 4x, I just don't get. High battery capacity, and still crappy battery life.
