Because of discount promotion. And if you even want to take the $50 price difference into account, you are doing it on the wrong type of smartphone. Anyone who can afford $1000+ smartphone regardless of brands wouldn't even think of such a miniscule price margin.

The price is for this colour only. All other colours for the 128 GB version are at $1000. 256 GB is at $1050. Now tell me that Xperia 1 III is not overpriced at $1300 compared to S21 Ultra, which launched at a lower price of $1250.

What can the 12 pro max do that the 11 pro max can't
The one plus 9 pro Vs 8 pro. Hardly any difference. They've upped the charging to 65W. Maybe a better Sony IMX sensor, but it's nothing to rave about and think wow I need to upgrade from the previous model
Smartphones I find so boring. I'd say the last phone that honestly made me think WOW. Had to be the Mate 20 pro compare that to the mate 10 and it's a whole new phone. OEMs are just running out of ideas.

$1,200 for unlocked 128GB internal storage and yet most "enthusiasts" complained that the Sony Xperia 1 Mk3 with 256GB internal storage is too expensive? Well I'm not going to buy the Samsung, that's for sure. Sure that Samsung have a well-polished DeX Desktop Mode, but last year flagships can do that job equally well.

Again, the color is dependent on the shop! Samsung could make glittering pink s21 ultra, and still only 7% of the world wide shops would sell it.
