AnonD-986036, 05 Jul 2021I don't mind Oppo X Oneplus, as it will allow them to ... moreOne Plus 9 Pro except for software, there is nothing to talk about. Camera is good after so many years but rivals have leapfrogged ahead. S21 Ultra is still ahead than One Plus 9 Pro camera output. Mi 11 Ultra/Mi11X Pro/Vivo X60 Pro Plus/Oppo Find X3 Pro has leapfrogged ahead for sure. I don't know how about rest of the cameras. But these are the best ones out there right now and One Plus 9 Pro doesn't come close to them. Software is good but you must have seen them creating problems for older One us 7T and 7 Pro and Nord after Android 11 Update. Pixel Extended UI on all these phones work like charm too. Why to waste money on One Plus then. They charge quiet high too. Not so value for money devices anymore. One Plus 9 Pro should cost 650USD and One Plus 9 should cost 450USD. Nothing more than that.

Heeey they're pulling an apple and are being 5 years late

Shame that OnePlus has stated to spread themselves so thin. They should've concentrated on making flagship-killers for competitive prices.

AnonD-986036, 05 Jul 2021Fine. In Europe, Xiaomi Mi 11 costs £749 (now less than tha... moreI problaby don't need to explain the Oneplus 9, do I?
You only lose the metal frame for an plastic one, 1440p (which most won't care), LTPO tech (but battery life was better on 9 than 9 Pro, so i don't care too), You lose the zoom lens (But even Mi 11 doesn't have it while being more expensive), You lose the OIS (this maybe be a big downside if ur hands are shaky as hell), You also lose the 50W wireless charger to an 15W one (but not many have the 50w oneplus charger though, and not many will use wireless over the 65W wired charging)

All that for £200 less than the 9 Pro. So again, it is an no brainer value for money. Significantly better than the crappy Oneplus 8 last year.

At the US, Oneplus 9 has more competition than ever, but they don't match Oneplus in overall package.

At $750 and below, if you compare it to the competition, Oneplus 9 wins in :

            1. Display quality is right up there with S21 (which is excellent, you lose the LTPO, but battery is better on Oneplus)

            2. In box accessories (you get an ridiculous charger, case and stickers in box which other phones like Iphone or S21 will give you, and Pixel and S20 FE provides only an cheap chargers)

            3. Design and build quality, it loses to the Iphone 12 in frame material(bet you won't notice it bcuz of the plastic frame), but there is still an matte option if u don't like glossy finish, but against others it is evenly matched against the Matte plastic s21 and plastic pixel 5. Also, t mobile version is IP68 rated.

            4. Meanwhile in the battery situation, it is no comparison. The batterr life and battery size is ahead of any other same priced phone. Charging is also leagues ahead, and also, an 15W Wireless charger is there too.

            5. Software is a matter of preference between IOS, One UI, OxygenOs, or Stock Android.

            6. Meanwhile, in the cameras. The main camera and the selfie camera is 8.5/ 10 as good as the S21, Pixel 5 and Iphone 12. So not too bad. But, the Ultrawide camera is not even a contest. Oneplus's Ultrawide beats other very heavily by 10 : 6. They have much smaller ultrawide sensors and no Autofocus at all. Overall photos and Videos is about the same as Oneplus has now updated their phone to the point no one's complaining about the colours and hdr again. And, best of snapdragon phones? You can install gcam on it

The Android Freak, 05 Jul 2021How you can say high value for money ratio? Please elaborate. Fine. In Europe, Xiaomi Mi 11 costs £749 (now less than that) for the 8/128 GB variant.
              You get :
Best chip on a phone, one of the best display, one of the best main cameras on a phone, premium looking and feeling design, fast charging wired or wireless, 2 years of android and 4 generations of miui updates, Excellent haptics and speakers, Awesome amount of software features, In box Fast GAN 55W charger and case

With that, that's already an pretty insane amount of value for the price you pay.

But the Oneplus 9 Pro, launched at £829 (now even cheaper) for the 8/128 GB variant. And it is a no brainer value.

From the Mi 11, you get so much more. Like :
1 year longer software updates, and 2 years longer of security updates, faster and more regularly consistent software updates, Even faster wired charging that is cooler, Doesn't overheat AS MUCH as Mi 11, Same chip, same display plus an LTPO tech, Same excellent primary cameras, You get an 3x optical OIS zoom lens, then an Super excellent Ultra wide camera that's almost as good as the primary camera, Hasselblad branding (if that's what u like), even faster in box charger and case too

And you only lose the gorilla glass victus on front as well as the 108 MP resolution and some MIUI software features. But, considering that you only pay £80 more or even less, you get so much more, which means even better value than the already crazy Mi 11.

And the Oneplus 9, which starts at £629 (cheaper now) with the 8/128 GB variant

Comes fresh with Oppo filth OS and much much more. Hard pass. OnePlus is dead. The only serious options are now. Samsung, Pixels, Sony, ASUS, Razer and maybe Sharp. The rest of the junk from China can stay in their orifices where the sun don't shine.

Isn't it a bit late at this point? It was few years back when tablets were all the rage, these days people either use iPads or they don't really use anything else. it seems only Apple is really invested into tablet market. For Android, there is just Samsung and even their offerings are just "meh". It's just a tablet. Basically the same as 5 years ago. And their naming schemes are just so weird you have no clue what kind of tablet you're even holding.

finaly, some love for tablets. for years we were stuck with samsung, huawei and overpriced apple. nice to see a little bit of fresh air. I still hope for 8/8.4 inch tablet with full hd screen with no pwm and high contrast.

I don't mind Oppo X Oneplus, as it will allow them to create something cheaper. Even Oneplus 9 Pro and Oneplus 9, i will consider them cheap. Cheap doesn't need to be below $500, it just needs to be super value. And Oneplus 9 Pro s now can be found below $900 in US, and $650 for the Oneplus 9. Which is terrific deal. In the USA and Europe, Oneplus has a reason to exist :

                            1. Clean software
                            2. Fast charging wired or wireless
                            3. Top end hardware that don't have issues
                            4. High end specs
                            5. High value for money ratio

I mean, in the US and Europe, no one offers this much value as Oneplus did (except Xiaomi in Europe). In US, it is a no brainer deal.

The entirety of BBK Electronics now has a certified tablet. Will be interesting to see if each of them is different or if there's going to be a ton of rebranding.
Edit: I don't think Oppo has certified their own tab, however they said some time ago they are interested in joining the market.
