HMD Product Manager says new Nokia flagship is coming on November 11

05 July 2021
That's Singles' Day (11.11) in China, a big annual shopping event and a good time to launch a new product - unless the flagship gets delayed, again.

I see many crying for HMD, but more should blame Nokia for not taking another strategy. Nokia creates its subsidiary HMD to buy the rights to Nokia Mobile and develop the devices itself. The relationship between Nokia Corporation and HMD (which is Finnish) is secretive, but so that the stock market crash would not completely affect the mobile brand, HMD was used as the new owner.

The strategies were different, obviously in the massive iPhone and Samsung sales, reigning in the West and much of the East, so the chinese market was their target after the sale. Drastically there is no money to develop high-end equipment, they sought to generate economic devices for the Chinese or Asian population that was moving to the digital age.

We see how the Nokia 9 PV came late, with a bad firmware development. Remember the WallstreetBets case? Nokia was one of the beleaguered companies that suffered and was hanged by those who made short-term stakes. What the WallstreetBets guys did showed that Nokia has not been allowed to grow for a long time, but rather, they are living leeches consuming the little or nothing that is the brand.

The fact that the US has asked Nokia to bid for the 5G is more related to the fact that this company does not denounce the facts behind its loss, offering a long-term contract to develop new connectivity technologies such as the future 6G and 7G. The funny thing is that Nokia will use the same design and technology as Huawei in the US for 5G.

Maybe some hardware will be 2020 High End. Knowing HMD the software will be Android One and that is just terrible. Really no one wants android google one os.

Once you agree to let your phone download and update overnight, it will do so automatically without your consent. For smaller updates, this is a great feature of course. But you'd expect that for an update such as switching from Android to Harmony OS, you'd at least be given a warning.

Ricky, 07 Jul 2021Im waiting for this event. My next phone. After a few years with the last flagship, which was hyped for its 5 cameras, but literally doesn't take pictures at all, for whenever I launch the camera app it freezes and HMD still haven't been able to fix the issue, I have finally lost hope on Nokia after all these year. I sworn to God 9PV is my last Nokia phone.
I have been supporting it since pre-smartphone era, and stuck with them when they were doing Windows Mobile, which had no apps to use. But for the past few years, they never fail to disappoint on the higher ends. 6.1+, 7, 8s, 9PV. Sorry but I can't say I enjoy and am proud of Nokia anymore. Farewell, however excellent you may claim your next flagship to be.
