Shadocx, 08 Jul 2021700€ for the Galaxy S5? I wonder in which country is that. ... moreGreece. I might be wrong actually because I clearly remember the S4 launching at 739€, so the S5 was probable a bit more.

impinas, 06 Jul 2021The S5 was 700€ here but the 1+1 was 299€700€ for the Galaxy S5? I wonder in which country is that.
Where I live 700€ is the launch price of the Galaxy S7.

Vonikhsat S Metra, 06 Jul 2021$450 would be a fine price for this plastic thing with no t... moreFYI the OnePlus 6 came out 3 years ago and the second camera wasn't really a telephoto, both have the same focal lenght and if you saw a 2x, it's digital zoom...
The only OnePlus that had a telephoto lens before the 7 series was the OnePlus 5.

As for the price, your OP6 had a SD 845, no 5G, 60Hz display with lower brightness, inferior storage speed, inferior camera sensors, no 8K video recording, the 4k60 had really bad stabilization from what I remember, no stereo speakers, no Wi-Fi 6, no Bluetooth 5.2, no dual band GPS, no USB 3.1 with video output, 20W battery charging, no wireless charging.
So all these things have been improved but u manage to complain about the plastic frame and lack of a telephoto, does the iPhone 12 have one? No.
The frame isn't even pure plastic, it's hybrid, and it's painted glossy and look like metal, and only people who uses their phone without a case could possibly notice the difference.

AnonD-731363, 06 Jul 2021Man oneplus is miles better than S20FE. Oxygen OS is best ... moreI was just pointing what's good on the S20 FE, I already know what's good on the OnePlus 9, I have the OnePlus 7 and love it very much.
OneUI still have a lot of features, it's true that create extra bloat because there are many of those features people won't care about or know exist.
As you can guess I don't use SD Card anymore as it's absent on the OP7, I have a 240 GB external SSD with USB 3.1 just like my phone so I backup my data once a month and the transfer speed is very fast!
I still think Samsung DeX would be useful for me since I don't have a PC that I own, but the OP7 supports video out so screen mirroring is fine for now.

Is the demand very slow for the 9, so need to reduce prices?

impinas, 06 Jul 2021Man the S20 FE is a considerably better device than the 1+9... moreMan you funny.

Man the S20 FE is a considerably better device than the 1+9. This is a lie or just your opinion nobody else will agree with that.
Its camera is miles ahead in terms of performance, it produces much cleaner photos with more detail. Another lie. Oneplus with Hasselblad branding did great job samsung have no chance to compete here but feel free to use your poor camera on S20FE i and many else will take neplus any time a day.
Software is very complete and polished, compared to OnePlus' naked skin that offers no usability. Even if there's a mode you don't use in One Ui you can just switch it off or disable it completely. Man Samsung have the worst UI ever made full of bloatware and worse. Even xiaomi is better and adds can be dissabled or removed. In case of Samsung you have to keep most and it will poison you every single moment. Samsung UI was always garbage but past few years they getting worse and worse. Worst of them are dual apps and aps which nobody cares about but have to keep them like its something great.
Compared to ONE UI which is close to pure android experience samsung UI is just a SUDOKWON Landfill which is 6th largest landfill in the wold and is next to a Samsung largest plant or manufactury.

Oneplus 9 is a very much neutered OP9 Pro. I rather go with Nord than Oneplus 9.

impinas, 06 Jul 2021Yes, but why do you choose Los? Because the stock rom is em... moreThe "degooglify" your life passage should give a pretty big hint why.

LOS is a fully opensource ROM without Google Services and mostly auditable code (outside of the binary blobs from the vendor(s)). Furthermore, there is the option of using microG and their own LOS builds to get all the compatibility without actually having the Google Services installed.

It's not just cosmetics or futile feature-set discussions, we are in another ball game here (albeit a niche market in its very nature). OnePlus dominates this niche with their support, and this is fundamentally different from the out-of-the-box "average consumer" discussion.

Anonym, 06 Jul 2021It may be better for the average consumer, but it's no... moreYes, but why do you choose Los? Because the stock rom is empty, yet 1+ asks for the same amount of money as Samsung, whose rom is so developed and complete. I had an 1+1 and after cyanogen was discontinued, 1+ gave us the empty Oxygen and Lineage gave the continuation of the perfect cyanogen rom, so I chose Lineage too.
Also, there is no lottery regarding the S20 FE, it has the same chip choice everywhere.

impinas, 06 Jul 2021Man the S20 FE is a considerably better device than the 1+9... moreIt may be better for the average consumer, but it's not better for the enthusiast that does not enjoy the regional lottery of Exynos vs Qualcomm Snapdragon nor does it have the amazing 3rd party ROM support that OnePlus usually achieves (i.e., just go to the LineageOS website and see how many of the latest OnePlus devices are officially maintained; those are not buggy half-baked ROMs from a random guy in XDA, you can expect things to work properly in official builds and "degooglify" your life that way).

I do concede that if Samsung suddenly had an epiphany and stated having that same level of official LOS support (the most demanding tier that also benefits all other 3rd party ROMs) then OnePlus would have a very hard time selling their phones at such high prices. Until then, as someone who uses official LOS exclusively, there is no real competition -- the latest OnePlus flagships win hands down due to no competition.

Oxygen OS is best os cose to clean pure android experience, samsung software is more bloatware than anyone else.
Also hasselblad camera branding is miles better.
The SD slot is a big deal but cloud storage is not that expensive or you will store your photos and videos from time to time to some other device or external HDD.
And samsung DEX is just another bloatware anyone can live without.
