am huawei fan since 2016 after my friend recommend me to use P10, change to P20 on 2018. Everything great until trading war between China and USA and finally Google announced no more provide Google service in all HUAWEI device in late 2019. Brought Mate 30 pro on mid year 2020, nice phone with many new features compared to p20. Honestly without Google service the phone seem rubbish for me, anyway am switch to use Samsung again. Hopefully Huawei can recooperate with Google service again to continue provide good service to their users. Am definitely Come back to Huawei once that day arrive.

I'm still using The Huawei P9 from 2016 , holds up pretty well in today - camera is great , i had to replace the battery once (Degraded over time) , all around i would say Huawei makes some great phones.

Take that out and huawei is just another chinese brand. That and no GMS is what really killed it. Even a brand like Tecno, which just came in our country last year, has better sales than Huawei.

Yep, Huawei is pretty much dead when it comes to smartphones, most people who have used their devices have jumped ship to Oppo, Vivo, Realme and Xiaomi. Their Nova line was really good, I mean, look at the Nova 5T (Honor 20), you can't even compare it to this Nova 8i.

Snappy 662...cmon man no one's using that anymore even in budget phones. It should be left to use in android headunits in cars etc
Even Xiaomi is using snappy 678 in redmi note 10 that costs 160€ etc c'mon Hawaii...

Huawei is dead, at least in the smartphone business, even in china they've lost their spot. But still, this must be the bigest downgrade in a new generation series in the recent years, how do you move from a proper mid-range soc to an entry level one.

MYR 1,299? Last year's nova 7i with the same 8GB/128GB configuration now cost MYR 899, which is MYR 400 cheaper than the 8i. Even a Nokia 5.4 with the same Snapdragon 662 chipset cost half the price and it has Google Mobile Services. Sorry Huawei Malaysia, but I'm giving the 8i a hard pass.

Sho... moreWell for now even with my bad experience with the software on my redmi note 10 pro is still a better phone compare to realme 8 pro since it has a better display build quality and chipset the realme 8 pro uses the same camera as note 10 pro so i see no difference when I compared each other
