Funny how everyone is freaking out over 8gb storage when this phone hasn't been officially announced for release yet, the 8gb version up now is probably one of the variants for the new nexus, it doesn't mean that there won't be a 16gb model or maybe a 32gb model

Are you telling me this thing isn't 4G? Why even bother making it then?!... There is a massive market for 4G capable droids, so why isn't there more of them around?!

Maybe there were some leaked official pics that are going to be used by everyone. It's not like the first ones were "home made". Most probably there are a batch of official photos that they are going to use. Hmm 8gb. makes it a deal breaker. I don't get it why. They try to make it an affordable phone and it has top of the line specs in terms of RAM and processor but they cand squeeze in 16GB? And the idea of not competing with the manufacturer top phone is stupid. There are already 3-4 manufacturers that have a Top Specs phone from which the user can choose in the first place. But.... let's wait and see the Google event.

This does not make sense.
8GB of non-expandable storage.

I reckon Google do it on purpose so not to upset the manufacturers. This a phone for devs only.

What happened to premium Nexus line: from really good devices to less ones having less memory than anything that pretends to be a flagship.

Mark, 25 Oct 2012If it comes in 8GB flavor only then I will have an easier c... moreI have to agree, 8gb non expandable is completely insane, for a moment I was thinking about buying the 16gb if it released up to early 2013 but as I see it manufacturers have the name consumer electronics without any regard as to what the consumers' needs are and only take regard of profit. So as not to sound stupid to anyone, I do not mean disregard profit (otherwise companies would not exist today) but cater products the consumer needs of today. Is it really hard to release an s4 pro phone such as the Asus padfone 2 (regarding the phone only), oppo find 5, htc butterfly j with nexus like updates and a storage of at least 32gb (if not also expandable) with a battery over 2k. Anyone in europe (referring to people who are able to spend a hefty amount) would be willing to buy such a phone for the price of 600 euro. These variations of 8-13mp, non-expandable/expandable,8-64gb internal are killing consumers literally.

If it comes in 8GB flavor only then I will have an easier choice: I won't buy this phone.
