OnePlus 6 and 6T get Android 11 Open Beta 1

Have been using the Beta version for a week now and no instability noticed so far, battery consumption is on par with what it was on the latest official version. Using it as my main phone same as prior with 2 SIM's wireless buds and wear device connected all smooth. it's working so well, I had recently picked up the OnePlus 8T when the price dropped and I have not been willing to transfer over, planning on returning the new device. Just my humble feedback on the Beta version. Regards

    Looking at the number of phones OnePlus has in it's portfolio, OnePlus 6 and 6T should have received the stable Android 11 update by Q1 of 2021.

    Seeing OnePlus's current pace, I believe a proper Android 11 stable update would be released in Q1/Q2 of 2022. This takes into consideration a stable release this year which will be halted because of instability and bugs. And a fix will come after 3-4 months or even more as was the case with OnePlus 5 series users.

      Xiaomi mi8 is still ondroid 10 too
      Most Sony LG phone are too
      And don't launch me on Huawei and honor of the same era

        Meanwhile, OnePlus couldn't be bothered to update their super pricey 9 Pro and 8T every 100 days.

                  And i just recently sold my 6T thinking the device would never get android 11 for real... oh well.

                    It's great to see OnePlus still manage to roll out the third major OS update for 6 and 6T. It's just a shame that we won't be seeing that for the 7 series.

                      Nice. Earlier then expected. Hope the stable build rolls out before the end of next month or who knows maybe this month itself.

                        Meanwhile Samsung Galaxy S9(released on the same year) doesn't get Android 11 update. But let's ignore that cause bashing oneplus gets us better engagement and seo because thats the popular thing right now
