09 July 2021
Over 11,000 devices were distributed around 100 countries, some of which aided in organized crime, but authorities were listening.

Anonymous, 10 Jul 2021No, that's not true. He never said that.Yes, you're right. Sorry for putting it wrongly.
Snowden never said that, but you see, there's been a report of a Minix OS, a closed source fork of Linux running inside every CPU, supposedly to "manage" it, after 2010 at least, even before it.
Neither AMD nor Intel agrees to make it open source, which raises suspicions.
This part of CPU has complete administrative and internet rights too.

There's a whole story behind it, its a purchased patent which has enabled NSA to keep an eye on everything. The patent creator even regrets selling this, his words are quoted.
You can google it, but most of the content is actively removed by someone (you'll see broken downloads, non functional links), I don't know who, but it could be NSA...

Everybody spy on its customers and companies like Apple or Google does it with knowing of everybody yet without any punishment compared to Huawei which never been proven they spy on customers and they lost much more than any other phone manufacturer.

But my question is, the way Edward Snowden put it, NSA has access to everything digital we have, so why doesn't FBI get data from NSA instead of going this far and selling a rigged phone?

Secondly, if the icons are themselves not working as mentioned, then why did users purchase this phone second hand? Surely, you'll check a phone before purchasing, right?

I'm definitely sure that FBI's Pixel 4a is completely deGoogled. There is literally no way the FBI would install and use Google Mobile Services to track down criminals, especially when you look at how secure ArcaneOS.

those people must be thinking about nokia 3310 now....

Can’t blame them, pixel 4a is the best midrange imo beside the lack of 5G.

gringo, 09 Jul 2021Criminals must be too dumb to buy a phone sold by the FBI .... morecriminals needs a secure phone with no backdoor. government agency knows this so they modify a phone to have backdoor, which they sell through whatever channel criminals used to get phone.

it's not that the criminals are stupid, but the FBI are just smarter.

Is the usage of the term "firmware" correct in this context? Shouldn't it be OS?

Does NSA not give access to FBI for criminal cases not concerning national security?
Why does FBI even have to use such a phone to get access to this data?

Because as far as I was told, every processor has a built in kernel running at -3 (Complete administrator) and Minix OS which sends data using any network the device is connected to...
