Verizon Galaxy Note II to have the carrier's logo on its home button

Verizon has decided to one up branding among carriers and pimp the Note II's home button with its logo.

What were they thinking. It will be such a huge confusion for the customer. Some people might think that button is for some verizon thing.

      Appalling aesthetically and ethically. What happens if you decide to do as we Brits do all the time and switch carriers or sell the device to another person who unlocks it and uses a different carrier? America's closed mobile ecosystem is a total rip off. In most other aspects of life, America is better value, but not with mobile wireless.

      Even if they do want to retain some branding, what better than Verizon at the top of the display, as is probably the case with them and all other carriers? I see Vodafone or EE at the top of my two UK phones and that's enough of a branding reminder - and it's totally non tacky.
