Yeah....according to Geekbench 5, the Apple M1 only beats the Ryzen 5 5600X by slight amount in single-thread and the Ryzen chip beats it by a slightly larger margin in multi-thread, definitely not a massacre by either chip. Also, I feel that it is possible for An droid chips to beat Apple chips, atleast on the GPU side.

I bet it will belike with M1 chip by Apple.
On paper is the fastest chip in a cell phone.
In real life use is much slower than most SD7xx devices or SD69X devices.
This going to be same overheating and throttling nothing new.

Samsung's issues have always been Android issues. Lack of proper memory management, and lack of OS-wide thermal management. If Samsung was able to solve that through the hardware side instead of the software (like Apple does) it'd be a great push back from Android. Still, in my eyes, Samsung is the best smartphone manufacturer currently. what mostly holding it back is the OS itself, not the hardware. Sadly, their own take on a separate OS failed misrabely, so this is likely to going to continue for years.

Currently the majority of personal computers run Linux. It's just that the presentation and driver layers are called "Android" and the computers can use the PSTN wirelessly.
And then there's Chrome OS laptops.
Gnome and KDE desktops are niche products, as are Ubuntu and Red Hat packaging systems. But they are not Linux. They are built on it.
