Google Messages prepares RCS integration with Samsung Continuity

If Google made RCS end to end encrypted at the same time made it appealing to the people by integrating a way for RCS to communicate with iMessages then it would put WhatsApp out of business and personally I wouldn't mind using RCS I believe this technology is the pinnacle of Messaging and for the fact that you don't need to download a 3rd party app just to communicate is pure genius good old SMS with a Data twist added

Me as a galaxy watch and a70 user, I use google messages and rcs a lot, so i will be able to communicate with my family directly on my watch, because rn, you can do this only with samsung default messaging app, so waiting for google to enable this...

So...RCS ISN'T going to be released as an open-sourced API for apps like Textra, Signal, Mood, etc?
I really hope that's not the case. Otherwise, I'm not going to be thrilled...
