Anonymous, 13 Jul 2021Why even include apple in these charts/tables? After all, ... moreLol, the iPad is far from a "computer". Even for a non-Apple user like myself, I'd rather buy a MacBook laptop or a Mac mini instead of an iPad Pro or an iPad Air.

When everyone print their chip in TSMC and Samsung, they hit their production max quota fast. And it take time to expand high end product factory.

And if you already have set number of production order which sold out easily due to scalper and you want to produce more quick? well, you need to be back on manufacturing queue and wait till its your turn again but there is Apple and Qualcomm in front of you so good luck on that queue.

Back to the article, no surprises that HP and Lenovo is the top of the pack.
My office recent laptop buy is mostly Lenovo and HP as they provide good design and good build quality for the price.
HP Omen with 3060 pricing able to make it disappear from the market in less than two month. Sold out not for resale. It took some time before HP restock it again but unfortunately with a higher tier and pricier product.
Lenovo Ideapad, Legion, and thinkpad? well those are easy recommendation to buy.

There is Acer who is cheaper but yeah also shoddier.

[deleted post]Most of those buyers are just a kids/teenagers who spend their entire day on web browsing and watching videos.
Most developers prefer Ryzen and intel pcs.

[deleted post]its sad but its true. A lot of kids around here even after over a decade
Grown ups are leaving this and instead the kids replace them
the M1 was and still is a freak of nature for power/consumption delivery ratio

I have 2 lenovo laptops, one is 7 years old gaming laptop which still works perfectly fine, second one which i currently use is a gaming laptop(legion) too, both best laptops i ever had, no problems at all even with long gaming sessions and carrying it around with myself to job and home.
