Anonymous, 15 Jul 2021They did. Nobody bought them. So they stopped making them.Actually nokia n8 was a success and sold a hack lot more then iphones back then. The famous elop words "burning platforms" towards symbian and meego was what killed this systems, meego would have been the next big thing for Nokia, and would have replaced symbian for higher end devices, that system would have turned android into dust in a mater of months and probably apple would have not been what it is right now. One man decision (the mole of nokia) destroyed all the goodies, not the windows phone was a really bad system, it was just to infantil to even compare it to meeGo or symbian. So nope, it was not the people, it was the CEO.

You could set the shuterspeed to take more brighter pics, you just needed a tripod to hold it still and boy those shuts are better then your huawawy.

I don't think OnePlus 9 Pro has a great camera especially when you're shooting in auto during the day, but that doesn't really change the fact that the RAW image quality comparison video I brought up messed up a lot of stuffs to the level that it lost its objectiveness or validity.

I know it's not ideal, but just as a reference to see what can be done in certain situations where you can use the tripod and multi shot.

Scrat... moreAccording to the aforementioned video, OnePlus 9 Pro has worse dynamic range (without even showing how much highlight/shadow recoveries are possible by tweaking the exposure slider), worse low light image quality (ignoring that OP9P shoots photos at 3-8 times higher ISO value to keep the shutter speed shorter) and worse lens quality (when Lumia exhibits more chromatic aberration and stronger vignette literally right in front of us) as well.
With that said, this kind of bias is hardly surprising given the channel name, and I only watch its videos when I need a bit of entertainment.. Though I do feel sorry for people who might have used those videos for basis of their buying decisions.

If you end up doing a camera comparison then for laughs can you include a couple bracketed shots for the 808 just to show whats possible out of HDR in the situations that allow it?

DaFink, 15 Jul 2021Was it though? I mean all the talk is centred around the ca... moreWell, the phones you mentioned didn't run Symbian Belle (the OS that powered 808), did they? The only real area Symbian Belle was inferior to android Gingerbread is app availability.
My significantly inferior Nokia 603, with measly 1GB of RAM and 1Ghz processor, easily wiped the floor with any smartphone with competing OS, including the costliest ones. Effortlessly keeping 40+ apps in the memory—I'm willing to wager that many 6GB RAM android phones of today would struggle with just 30.

If Nokia would have went with Android, the smartphone market would have been totally different today. Even Samsung and Apple would have been in trouble. But instead they went from bad decisions to even worse decisions. And now, Nokia is just another cheap china brand that nobody wants to buy anymore.
Don't get me wrong, I used to be a huge Nokia fan (the Finnish brand) , but nowadays I wouldn't use one of those even if you give it to me for free and pay me extra!

For instance "OnePlus 9 Pro vs. Nokia Lumia 1020 - Raw & ISO comparison" video was a hideously biased mess that showcased its severe lack of ability to properly assess image quality while keeping the test as fair as possible.
