15 July 2021
More users traded in iPhones that were 2 years old or less and more picked more expensive models.

NeverOpnReplies, 16 Jul 2021Only in the US, the walled Garden of apPLe is high. People... moreWalled garden argument is made up BS by Apple haters. It's as "walled" as Google's ecosystem. Android AOSP doesn't even have an ecosystem. It's just an OS. Ecosystem is the app store and all the support services on top of it paired with OS itself.

But people don't even know what word "ecosystem" even means. You just throw it around as a buzzwword you don't even understand.

NeverOpnReplies, 16 Jul 2021Only in the US, the walled Garden of apPLe is high. People... moreThis statement is about as dumb as people invested in Android ecosystem not being able to leave and go with Apple's because they depend on Google's features and services so much. Muh walled Google's ecosystem! Because that's what it really is. You all never actually compare true Android's ecosystem, you always present it as if it was always a Google free experience and it's all Android's magic. It's not. It's all the Google's stuff bolted on top of AOSP version of Android that makes the actual ecosystem. Without it it's pretty useless and barebones OS, the same as iOS would be if you ripped out its App Store, Siri, Maps, Mail and other services offered by Apple. And when you're dependent on that Google's stuff it's about as "waLLeD GaRDeN" as Apple's ecosystem. You can easily leave either if you want. Which is why all this crying about closed ecosystem is absolute BS statement. I'm using iPhone and I depend on no Apple's service. I can buy an Android phone and start using it fully in about 1 hour with zero dependences on anything from Apple. And do the same in reverse and leave Android for iOS. The "walled garden/closed ecosystem" argument is just a pathetic excuse to take a piss at iOS/iPhones. It's as "closed" as you let it be and nothing else. And don't even try with sideloading of apps argument, that's irrelevant for ecosystem. That's a phone feature, not an ecosystem feature.

[deleted post]Funny, mine is at 3 years and a half and it's the same experience as on day 1. Literally nothing changed performance wise. Well, except it got faster with iOS 13. But otherwise no change. You Apple haters just constantly spew out this made up nonsense without ever using any iPhone (that goes beyond "iPhone owner gave it to me for 10 minutes and now I'm suddenly an expert in everything iPhone). And whole world should listen to your "expertise". Okay...

Must have been something wrong with those phone they traded in since its fairly new. Or maybe the user. They are using it wrong perhaps.

Exactly what I was saying these months: those who bought 12 series are those who came to change their old phone and not a lot of new customers.
At this point apple has reached a height that can not be crossed and the only thing that can do is to milk their customers and to diversify the services.

Anonymous, 15 Jul 2021Rich or poor doesn't matter. It depends on person. I&#... moreTotally agree with you. Me too, I can afford to get iPhone 12 Pro or upcoming iPhone (what ever the name is) but yet I'm still using my iPhone 11 and my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S10) Both phones still working well, unless one of the phone broke and can't be fixed. Only then I'll buy new ones.

Only in the US, the walled Garden of apPLe is high.
People there cant leave the ecos, so their next new phone estimated will be an iphone.
                lmao

Anonymous, 15 Jul 2021Rich or poor doesn't matter. It depends on person. I&#... moreHow many times have you changed battery ? When did you buy the phone? In many countries changing the battery at a reliable centre isn't possible thus forcing the owner to buy another phone when the battery health of the former one starts diminishing.

Anonymous, 15 Jul 2021Will move to USA very soon. But unlike all Americans I will... moreGet there first. Your opinion might change.

remove the trade in and pay per month and you get the real sales of iphones.

It's really weird flex when Android users always brag about longevity and freedom and then rush for the next coolest flagship the moment it's out. Or are these geeks the part that also doesn't represent Android's majority? Or do we apply double standards when we feel like it? I think this is exactly what's happening here...

And some people still think Apple users keep their phones for 5-6 years. Only cheap people who can't afford another new iPhone keep it for long time

Will move to USA very soon. But unlike all Americans I will go for Samsung instead of iPhone. Even midrangers are already great unless you are a gamer or want the best of best.

                                      What a worthless/useless survey!!
It's like asking a couple of students in a uni about something & declaring it as all the students of the uni's opinion.
But really such a sad state the US customers are in their walled garden + locked carriers, smh
