The thing that REALLY matters here is that New York will be hit AGAIN by a hurricane. Think about it for a minute. Not Miami, not New Orleans. New York. Google's event is of minor importance, it will be held eventually sometime.

Because Android is an actual OS with proper filemangement, transfer protocols and multitasking. And android doesn't lag. And this isn't for the S3, even something like the Nexus S is smooth.

Back on topic, I was looking forward to the event. not interested in their new devices but i want to see how they defend their technology. I like when they display and compare their competition on stage. At least the Microsoft event is still on. Windows phone 8 seems interesting after playing with windows 8 tablets.

Google should take its time to produce the right solutions to rectify its laggy and porous os rather than pursueing announcement date other manufacturers had already prepared for. Announcement is not all about picking dates just to stay on the news but to bring to the table solutions, innovations and ground breaking tech. Wake up!!!
