This virtual memory or ram is useless i think.
Anything that is not inside the phone will not work the way lie real ram module in the phone.

You're right about marketing. If they would've used "12+7GB RAM", it would've been far better, although that would be wrong too in a way.
A lot of people will not check beyond spec sheet and this will actually convince users. Unethically.

To all noobs here. It is there and there is an option. U will not automatically have it pre installed in ur phone and u can ignore the feature. The virtual ram is particurly better for low ram devices and high ram once are just marketingish cuz u can just ignore the feature.

Realme is advertising the 12GB RAM as "19GB RAM", because it uses 7GB as virtual memory... This is 100% false advertising. This would be never go through EU consumer laws.

I haven't seen storage fail in a phone yet. That aside, yes the marketing with virtual RAM is fishy. The feature is just software. Since a number of OEMs are offering this feature, this might also become part of AOSP soon. Root users have been using swap space for a long time, so it's a moot point for them.

Here we go with virtual ram. Someone will say this is whats best for you according to us.. 12GB ram. 11 of it will be virtual. Its just works, albeit at snail pace but hey, it works.
