I wonder what HTC&Samsung are thinking now ... do they feel betrayed by Google ?
Galaxy S3 should be @300 euros now , if they want to keep high sales.

Anyway , if some1 choose Android , the Nexus 4 is the Best Deal by far

why are people still surprised that there is no sd card? google does not care for extended memory and they will never have it. deal with it!

Is it true that it's going to be $300 off contract? Too good to be true.

DG, 30 Oct 2012Dude do a google search of USB OTG adapter its a tiny wire,... moreIf they add a sd slot, you wont need to see that ugly wire sticking out of your phone right? You do not want to be caught with that .. when ur making a call.

OTG itself does not provide enough power to power a standard 2.5 harddisk either.. which left with flashdrive (which max out at ard 64gb .. similar to a micro sd card..) when you want mobility.

Cloud is the only practical solution of all.. and thats the reason all nexus have no sdslot - Google want you to use their cloud services .. thats where they earn your money.. not the phone.

You look at daily interest .. almost all the top phones .. all have sdslots!

Anonymous, 30 Oct 2012sdcard slot is still best for media on the go, due to its s... moreI believe the major reason why they don't sell nexus with sdcard is because of "SPEED". They want to maintain the total response of the phone. having an sd card means you can have a slower data access. most people is not aware of this and will just complain on the android response.
smaller storage size = faster data access. just like any OS/application in mobile/pc. Solid state drive is faster that the typical hardisk. lesser used hardisk space equal to faster response.
Nexus is creating a faster phone that can coupe in changes that is why they are manufacturing phone in smaller memory and non expandable storage. :)

so your point is useless, and with this you can use unlimited storage if you want, a great alternative but as I said 16GB is enough for most people, I have about 3 HD games and movies+music and my S2 16GB is enough

DG, 30 Oct 2012Nexus has USB OTG just buy an adapter and stick a USB or ha... moresdcard slot is still best for media on the go, due to its size, decent capacity and ease of moving data between pc and device.

Cloud/NAS require you to have a stable internet connection, just like FM radio .. once u lose coverage .. u will be left with nothing.. and apps cannot be installed on cloud or NAS, nor can you patch your android version OTA if you do not have enough storage.

OTG harddrive or flashdrive would require a power source.. and look unsightly.

Now i know there are ppl that is perfectly fine with 8 or 16gb.. but some others might not like it.

If they want to reduce wastage/cost .. and get more ppl to buy google nexus phone.. They should just mass produce 1 version (8gb) and have (sdslot) expansion options for those that require more storage.

@DG, that is such an excellent point. All this whining about space is ridiculous when we have the ability to use external drives if we choose. I understand it may be inconvenient on several occasions but Google has given such an attractive package that I could care less
