We always get done over with prices..the find x3 pro( 12GB ram/256GB storage) sells in UK for £1099 but when you visit oppos China website the find x3 pro mars edition with a custom oS theme and 16Gb ram with 512GB storage when converted it sells for £783.

However, many people still walk into a store without really knowing much about phones and buy phones in stores. Typically they have a budget and walk in and buy a phone within that budget. Sales staff will push this type of phone rather than a Redmi or Realme as the high price allows them more room for their commission. These type of models focus mainly on the offline market

Or from their goodness of their heart? Xiaomi didn't hide their ads passive income on their software and give out options to prevent it from running, (unless you use their homebake apps)I guess that that you didnt know that Xiaomi are very active in giving out thier kernel source code to developers, since they have nothing to hide. I dont see any Bbk-samsung doing that.

Only some xiaomi apps have ads and it can be turned off

rizki1, 26 Jul 2021they still alive because shop seller.. try go to indonesia ... moreYes same here in the Philippines, I could say that Oppo/Vivo were making a killing 3 years ago, and the pandemic happen ...more people went online and more people are able to check the reviews now, back then its social suicide to give negative comment on Oppo/vivo fb pages, saying that Xiaomi/redmi phones are much better in terms in specs to price ratio. I guess in the long run their business model will collapse due to the "word of mouth" style of youtube reviewers giving Xiaomi/redmi/poco a better choice than bbk.

And if you go really far down into the settings you can remove them but, guess what, you get shown an ad while you're waiting. The only reason Xiaomi's phones are cheap is because they don't need that much money. They get all of the cash they need from putting ads into their UI. Oh yeah, and also selling your data without your permission. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Xiaomi stopped having Google services like Huawei. Samsung, Oneplus, Oppo, Nokia and Google's phones are marginally more expensive because they don't steal your data or have a UI with ads in it. That is why, since I bought a Redmi Note 7 thre years ago, I have never bought a Xiaomi phone again. It's not just all about the specs.

And this is the main reason why Oppo and Vivo could not overtake Xiaomi, they are thinking like Samsung down to the number of ads placement to endorsement, the way the price their phones to the way they specs their phone. (18 watts, lol) . While Xiaomi is just thinking of one thing... How to be number 1, hoping they would not change their business model.
