I wonder if this MTK device still implements the video enhancement feature during video playback? It's really annoying and gives unrealistic look on all the contents I'd like to watch and in MIUI there's no toggle to turn it off or does it now?

Does MediaTek support GPS now? I remember I had a HomTom phone with their chipset MT6589 and it had non-existent GPS functionality.
In fact, an app called MobileUncle MTK Tools was needed to get the GPS to work on MediaTek based devices, and it would download these EPO files from some remote servers (long gone). With that app, the GPS would work, but fixing a location would take 20-30 minutes outdoor.
So I'd like to know: Do MediaTek chips now support GPS well, or are users still installing MobileUncle MTK tools and trying other ridiculous workarounds?
