27 July 2021
The in-store sales are rising compared to online sales. Many prefer familiar brands and to have someone demo new features for them.

So it looks like the Japanese are the clever ones and actually understand the technology and can see that currently 5G is just a marketing bullshit. It will take quite few years untill the whole comms chain is replaced to give the real 5G features like negligible jitter and packet delays below 1ms. Until then there is no real difference between LTE-A and 5G (running on LTE infrastructure)

5G is still in infancy and infrastructure not even close to that of 4G. It honestly doesn't make any sense to prioritize a 5G chip in your phone as of yet, it's just media hyping up 5G.

AnonD-994853, 28 Jul 2021My 2018 Poco F1 is still on 4G man! 😭Why sad with only 4G when you don't even have a working 5G network in your country? I wouldn't even slightly bother with it.

In my country 5g should be introduced in 2023! Nowadays I see news of 5g Trials by companies in megacities!

No 5G in 2021 here, only few areas in 2022, and expanding coverage in 2023.

If the country in question has a fully working 5G network, that should come as no surprise. But for 99% of the country who doesn't even have the right infrastructure for it, I find it a real waste. Pretty much all countries wouldn't enjoy fully nationwide 5G connectivity in two to three or even five years time.

Here's one good statistic - 100% of people who drink water(h2o) die.

There is no 5G in Lithuania, so its not a problem for me. I better pay less for a phone without 5G.

Anonymous, 28 Jul 20214G is over. 5G is nowBruh. In my country I don't even get 4g everywhere. I got 4g in my house 2 years ago so I don't expect 5g to be here any time soon

KondriX, 28 Jul 2021Ha, 4G won't be over for at least 10 years. And right ... moreTrue, but I expect that by 4-5 years, mobile companies will shift to pure 5g socs , there should have 4g towers for at least another 15-20 years still.

Their analysis is slightly off. Of course they are looking to buy 5G phone, since there is like 80-90 % that are 5G supported. Should they buy 4G phones only that are for like less than 200€?

Maybe it is because most current-gen phones are with 5G?.. Funny.
