SShreyas, 28 Jul 2021You've seriously misunderstood the idea of 60 fps. 60 ... more24fps is still used. Just like all produced by TV channels are 30fps (unless it is from Europe that uses 25fps/50Hz).

Also, gsmarena often complains phones have 1080@60/4K@60 softer than their 30fps options. It is no suprise because 2x framerate without changing shutter speed. So each frame grabs 50% less light.

This is why real 960fps was darker and so low quality that looked like 320p.

Two 1/2.6" can in the end cost more than single 1/1.7", also take more space.
And OEMs need excuses to add something next year to increase price.

The 1080p video from XZ2 Premium was much better than 1080p from P20 Pro larger camera. Much better texture despite the higher ISO.

      Here's a startling fact:
24 fps is the BARE MINIMUM that human eye can percieve.
Earlier, producers wanted to save money. So, they shot scenes at 24 fps only. That saved them a hell lot of photographic film.
Even now, those projectors in theaters would need an upgrade. Since that would mean a film shot at high fps won't be able to release in all the theaters it is targeting.
And the animated movies and any computer based graphic intensive scene would also need 36 more frames per second. Since, the payment is also made on no. of frames, the cost of production will again increase tremendously.

All this at no expectancy in increase in no. of viewers because of high frames rates.

It doesn't imply that 60 fps is useless. And there aren't many people with capable hardware to edit 8K videos. And those who need it, won't require a phone to be capable of shooting at that resolution. For consumers, it's more a gimmick.

The Huawei P50 Pro 4G will be powered by the Kirin 9000 SoC.

The processor chipset is the oldest over 30 months.
        No 5G supported.
No WiFi 6e and WiFi 7.
        No 120 watt charger.
The price expensive over at $ 500.

Hope will be a p50 pro plus

I have my doubts about those specs.

Mobilemaster, 28 Jul 2021It is indeed weird. Why to go back to 3.5x from 5x?"3.5x" , "5x" , etc have no meaning regarding the angular resolution. There are basically only six things that are important regarding the angular resolution:
                  -number of pixels per angle
                  -effective diameter of the lens
-color filter array of the sensor
                  -focal length
                  -image processing
                  -quality of the lens

When smartphone manufacturers are talking about "3x", "5x", etc, it tells you nothing about those parameters. You have to look at the exif data. If a wide angle camera is better than a tele camera regarding these 6 factors, then digital zoom from the wide angle camera will outperform the tele camera. A tele camera with a small field of view only delivers a better angular resolution than a wide angle camera, if these 6 factors are overall better.

8K can be used to crop into better stabilized 4K, also downscaled to 4K that offers better quality than native 4K.

For example a 1/2.6" monochrome is as light sensitive as the HMX/HM1/HM3.

It is not just about artistic shots in black/white.

That 'monochrome' feature on Leitz Phone 1 & Huawei's flagship after P20 series just imitate the B&W using RGB sensor. B&W from RGB sensor will never be the same outcome from pure B&W sensor. Not only that it capture more light, better contrast, there's something about it that make someone largely appreciate it and in Huawei's scenario, it also helps the color sensor.
