Anonymous, 31 Jul 2021Neither~ It just means Xbox is less scalped & sold than PS5.Or that Microsoft reserved many Series X chips for their datacenters (to improve xCloud) thus had less consoles available to sell. So far that is the golden rule, whichever is in stock just sells. More units in stock, more sales.
Nevertheless, I am under no illusion that Sony will outsell the Series X. They just have a lot more mindshare in Europe.

Atari 2600, NES, SNES, Mega Drive aka. Genesis, PS, DC, PS2, XBOX, PS3, XBOX360, PS4, XBOX ONE, PS4 Pro, XBOX ONE X, PS5, XBOX Series X are consoles that are distinguishable from their counterpart and also PC as a whole, thanks to their optimized hardware, best in class controllers in their era, and exclusive games. Sony did something wrong badly in PS4 that I wish to do much better in PS5. GT Sport, dethroned itself from Number One Gamers' Racing title and passed the crown to Xbox's FM7 optimized for ONE X.
If you want to defend SONY's decision for GT Sport, I will refer you to the official trailer of GT7 quote: "Gran Turismo is Back!"
Another hit by SONY to itself was abandonment of Twisted Metal. instead of making something more open world with our building war machine, Totally wrapped the story up and forgot our 2 million active users.

Do they mean "sold to actual users" or "sold to scalpers on Ebay just to be resold at a later date at an inflated price"?
I'm ready to believe the second variant - anything in limited supply these days is sold out instantly, just to be resold via scalpers at a hugely inflated price.
And that would not mean it sold 10m consoles to actual uers, just that there were enough scalpers to buy up any and all stock hoping to get some easy profit (who needs a job anyways?).

Game Pass Ultimate is enough reason for anybody. 382 games as of today.
13EUR per month is not that much (after the initial discounts finish). Also, is available in more countries than PS Now for example. Also, is more polished.
PS exclusives are nice. But, in my case, in 2 years in which I owned a PS4 slim, I played 4 PS exclusives. The rest were games available on other platforms as well (which I bought from my own money, some cost me even 50-60EUR).
Since I have Game Pass (first only for PC, recently Ultimate; in total maybe 6 months), I played or tried at least 50 games. Taking into consideration that I had first 3 months basically free (1EUR), you could say I played or tried at least 50 games for 40EUR. If that isn't a good deal, I don't know what it is.

in all honesty both systems have flaws, sony just dont care about the customer only money, MS dont care about the customer only money!
both parties only care about money, MS is starting to be a bit better for consumers but Sony has retreated to the old ps3 days of people will buy my product no matter what i do and they will promote us like we are the good buy

In fact, up until the new revamped PS5 controller, that was one of Xboxes major selling points (it's so comfortable and fits the hands so well for long gaming sessions).
Fanboyisms aside, both systems have a place in my living room. Sony has realy nice exclusives and a novel controller, but... once the Sockholm syndrom of thoses exclusives wears of, my Xbox gets a lot more playtime thanks to its quality of living features (Quick Resume is a game changer for anyone working from home -- pun intended).
