So no curved screen this year, huh Motorola? Taking the exciting part of the phone, removing it, keeping the name, & slapping a generic flat screen on there? That will definitely help you pick up market share. Stop with the cheap out shit and make a true flagship again...you were on the right track last year with the Edge+. I was looking forward to upgrading to your next iteration of the edge phone, but if the rumors are true, I'll just wait another 4 years for you to release a true flagship again. I'm sticking with my 2020 Edge Plus for the foreseeable future. Get your shit together Moto....

They look great both design and spec-wise but I wonder if it's even profitable now that so many brands are on the market.

From the images it looks like a flat screen. I hope im wrong because one of the highlights on the Edge was the curved screen

Moto should bring the force phones back

I'm with Motorola from Moto Defy, now i have very old, but still fatastic X Force and Edge+. For me, Qi is one of best things in phones. No more looking for stupid cables,... Just grab and go with fully charged phone...
Now im looking for new one - those phones looks good, but without Qi are useless for me...

Sounds like an apple phone. Their phones are still the same looking even after years and hardly have a lot of tech advancements

On the other hand, take any Android phone from 4 years back and compare it with today's phones and the difference will be enormous

Danny301, 01 Aug 2021TBH, I'm not looking for OS upgrades as much as I'... moreThe main reason I like Motorola is the stock experience. So it really should be easy for them to support their phones longer. Part of the reason why they are short on support maybe the amount of phones they are producing. Although, that may hardly be an excuse since Samsung produces a lot of phones themselves and can manage the support. But hey, why support when you can sell more?

TBH, I'm not looking for OS upgrades as much as I'm looking for OS updates and patching. I think most people could accept that more so. I'd imagine that would be easier for OEMs. You only get an updated OS when you get a new phone. If the spread of OS's is too much to support, then 1 or 2 OS upgrade might help overall support. Bottom line, the technology advances between phones 3-4 years apart isn't really all that much. Extended support is what makes a phone flagship anyways. Without it, it's just an expensive paperweight in a couple of years.
