Duh!! This is genius!!! Absolutely genius!! Sooo how else do u keep a market that u can't sell new phones to... Upgrade their existing Already capable and better than any other phones the U. S. allows.. Cudos to huawei..

Hey Huawei, what about my phone Nova 2i ? Its because you stop upgrades on this phone just 6 months after my purchase that I never bought another Huawei. My Xiaomi phones at 4 year old still had upgrades. Now that you are upgrading old Huawei phones, i hope the nova 2i can be included in the list as I'm keen on Harmony OS.

Isn't it dumb to install the backdoor on a different day from the day you install the devices? The backdoor is there, they are just waiting for a reason to use it. How do you think they monitor their billion population? Like this? "You are nobody, your phone will be completely free from backdoor" and "This guy is getting popular, can we get his phone so that we can install a backdoor on his phone". And by the way, I also know west is doing some of it for profit. But not for prosecuting anyone by mentioning a word.

Hopefully Huawei will introduce this program internationally. I'm still using mate 20 and I don't mind using it a couple of years ahead. It's a great phone and I'm happy using it.
