I have been using OneUI for 9 months now, and still I haven't seen an ad. You might need to check what third party apps have permission to display on top of other apps.

I believe Samsung should be punished in the market for that. Now people on this forum are (presumably) able to setup a device properly, but there are a fair few in my circle of friends who are receiving ads in OEM apps.
If that is not trashy, I am not sure what is.

You can untick the option to get promotion when you set up your phone (like the Red Cable Club in Oneplus). And as for Bixby, you can change your assistant. It's android you know.
So, you listed two superficial issues which does not affect the performance of the device. And these are your reasons for calling OneUI trash? You need to check yourself mate.

Plus bloatware, confusing settings which look like someone caked on a layer of Samsung controls on top of Android, forcing Bixby on users. So unlike the way OnePlus does it.

The worst decision ever is that of placing ads in a flagship, fully paid up, device. OnePlus, by comparison is on a whole different level.
I would like to see people making a bigger issue out of this and force manufacturers into stopping these trashy practices.

July update caused severe battery drain and over heating.
If it ain't broken , don't fix it.
