If the magnet is stronger than the weight of the base, it will obviously not work. But I'm sure they will make this so that it's either affixed to the table somehow or it's not that powerful as you would need two hands to take it off. In either case, it will work very well and save the most amount of time taking the actual action of getting electricity to it. The next evolution is no-contact charging.

I'm not arguing about speed comparisons with wired charging. In fact, I prefer it and wouldn't use wireless charging no matter how convenient it was (unless it was as fast as wired).

What's the difference with those stupid magnetic cables? Also the phone will still not get pulled to the charger by itself, you still need to put it on a certain point. Wireless charging by itself is stupid. In order to save 2.3 seconds you compromise the charging speed, you pretty much sacrifice at least 10 minutes to fully charge to save 2 seconds.

Honestly, I am worried about the harm of fast charging brings including the cost of Electricity. One of the reasons IG Apple, Samsung & Google didnt jump wagon for 50-100W Charging could be the same. They are waiting for more data & analysis.

The whole point of wireless charging is to remove the action and attention of plugging in a cable. Set the phone down and it's charging. The most common problem of past wireless chargers was placement (sometimes being slightly off would cause a lack of charging). Magnets solve this problem.

Though i'm agree that wireless charging has very few potential and use, I don't see any big convenience compared to wired. Air charging might be a better investment.

At this point just put the charging port on the back. The only reason anyone might want wireless charging is the convenience since you don't need to plug and unplug the cable, but with so powerful magnets it just defeats the entire point. It's like using those stupid magnetic cables.
