Also the AMD graphics solutions are just no on par with Nvidia at the momen, they are still playing catchup. RDNA/RDNA 2 has potential but it's just not as mature as Nvidia's

            I don't know where do you live, but if you have enough knowledge in Networking and PC industry, then you could guess who I might be.

            I didn't attack Apple. I just made a strategy clear to you as how and what industries leaders do to pretend misinformation is information.

            It is not just Apple. We do ourselves and you definitely do not understand it, as long as trust our customers. Review your last parts purchase or installment of carrier contract, then you remember why you chose a proper hardware or services over the others.

              Where do some people get this nonsense? The price is trivial to most companies in the developed world since the cost of labor is far higher in comparison. Apple's machines are fast and reliable, incorporate an intuitive OS and have the esthetics suitable for a modern office.

              Feel free to buy something else for your own company.

Where the artists said it was the first time they could see their work in real-time without needing to render the whole scene first. Gone are the days when you needed a whole farm to do any high quality rendering. A rack or two can handle a studio's output.

                        Problem with the Mac's is that a lot of outfits have an eco system built around them, so swapping the whole thing is out of the question for most. That's why crApple can do what it does and sell Mac Pro feet for 300$. You can check out LTT's attempt at trying to build a better Mac Pro with mixed results.

                          Asking Premium price need premium performance and scalability which apple lack. Using, rendering, then export huge files to fit machines in Movie industries are almost Nvidia supercomputers which their result work sits in suite of software and will install and run on tiny machines.

                          Some industries will receive these machines as an advertising goods without any money to pay. Apple then will show off that, these giants in graphics has no option other than Apple's.

                          "At least for me"
                          The fact is that right now my business uses machines with Quad 3090 in order to handle mega projects with my business criteria, either in physical fields computational demand or industrial design.

                          Dual GPU in 128GB GDDR6 is good, but not enough for serious tasks in 3D rendering in CATIA or 3D Max. For Premiere pro, that is fairly enough but not for DaVinci Resolve.

                          As I experienced tough exports with emulated codecs since 1994, I have no clear vision for Mac Machines as a serious industry leading powerhouse. If Apple invest on track with its M-Series CPU/GPU line, then light tasks to medium level graphic intensive tasks are Apple's destination.

                          Codecs are something that industry need them to be built in and it needs time.

                          Imagine, for presentation of proper recorded contents in 8K 16bit resolution, premiere pro at least needs 128GB VRam to do jobs done smoothly. Quad 3090 is here to do the task flawlessly. Upcoming 16K is to do 8K with class leading after recording stabilization and richer color accuracy in fast shift lighting alongside need for more RAM and processing Power.

                          These are few examples that the Mac Pro is neither in business machines categories nor a compact or mini workstation. It simply is a limited upgrade able PC with macOS.

                          Jobs must be done as fast as possible, not as fast as a machine can do.

If it was hbm2 memory maybe it would have been worth the price. Like other said buy there cDNA arhitecture card and you will get more out of it. The price is not worth it.

                              Cough cough. That's rather expensive. I mean, that's the price the Mac Pro should be with a good card.

                              Is it time for a good alternative.
                              I have an email, some where, from the former head of operating systems, who started BeOS. I wonder if he is still going! I certain know people who could do a better processor system. At these prices, it is taking the piss. NVIDIA could make a $1000 1KW machine that would blitz them in workstation, gaming and multi VR performance, that I was trying to get them interested in a few years ago.

                              Apple is old. This is just a light version of the design I proposed. They should look at my proposed 1KW mass processor array Space Heater Mac Mini. Put it this way, a series of fins in a potato masher grid where the fins have processors with integrated memory. The fins have a large portion on chips as structure. You could basically use silicon slices as fins with micro heat sink fins attached. A bit more exciting and powerful than the cheese grater. Great overclocking potential.

                                      These graphics cards are not for playing games. They're workstation cards for CAD and 3D rendering etc, you know, for getting work done, not for playing silly games.

                                        For people who don't know what is Mac Pro is, it's a workstation for professional and not a gaming PC. It mainly use for art, graphics, movie and so on on the professional level. Mac Pro are not your typical computer. Just looked at the ports, extension and hardware support. You people compared it with game PC?? 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ Even your favorite Marvel Avengers production using Mac Pro for the effects and so on. Unless you're born silver spoon from your grandparents or daddy, then you can afford to buy Mac Pro 🥴🥴🥴
