Asus Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro get Android 12-like one-handed mode with new update

04 August 2021
The phones are still running Android 11, however. Anyway, the update also improves the camera and should improve gaming performance too.

CVonC, 04 Aug 2021Yeah it's dumb cos it crops the bottom part out. Makes... moreHad it on for a day. But it's really useless.
It constantly activates while typing. It can't be set to activate by button press 😟
I liked the old one. This is unusable.

I mean Lumias had a very similar approach to one-handed mode (and later iphones copied that presumably with their reachability) where they moved the bottom half off the screen essentially, but I don't like this approach as it doesn't scale the content and you end up with less stuff on-screen, I much prefer the approach of shrinking the display to the left/right bottom corner as Samsung first introduced I think
