Makes sense they would do that.

I give Xiaomi the look as a plus, I like it.

But that is all to it, most monitors are much cheaper and offer same or more than this Xiaomi.

    €400 would make more sense.

I heard the 24.5 inch 165Hz version was garbage. This one is pretty good though

LG panel? Similar stats to the Dell 2721dgf

Great monitor. Hope they can launch a cheaper 24 inch version.

              Tfw a massive company doesn't even know 1440p isn't 2K.

This is really over-priced, especially coming from Xiaomi

$500 is pretty expensive for a QHD monitor when you can get the Xiaomi Ultrawide monitor for $400... Also, IPS is overrated.

Why would Xiaomi fans complain? Xiaomi continues to have the best overall value to price ratio out of all the major competitors.

Gaming monitors are not for me. I wont have stable upgrades for pc to get 165fps out of everything in next 3-5 years that are coming out. And there are ok 27 inch screens for 200-300 euro range that have 120-240hz range screens on fullhd 1080p That have same nice picture also and thanks to lower resolution pc hardware can take the high fps longer too.

The price of the monitor seems contrary to Xiaomi' s reputation of releasing cheap yet high quality/ high spec items. It uses the same qhd 165hz HDR400 1ms ips panel as used by Acer, HP, AoC, Lenovo. All of these other brands sell the same spec monitors that cost 100-150eur less. At around 400eur.

It seems Xiaomi is taking the same "premium" branding strategy used by Apple, Samsung, ex-Huawei. Now that its the largest smartphone brand this year. Not sure how the Xiaomi fans will take it though.

mixedfish, 15 Aug 2021You are very confused. I suggest you go read up the differe... morewell, 2k resolution defined as 2048 × 1080 not 2560x1440.

4k is 4096x2160 but to make it 16:9 it is 3840x2160 for media.

2560x1440 should be called 1440p or QHD not 2K.

Just a clone of Dell S2721DGF. Why bother with this when you can get the Dell at half the price and 3 year warranty.

It's not 2k, its QHD 2560x1440 which is more than 2.5k horizontally. I don't understand why they name it incorrectly.

If 3840x2160 is 4k then by that logic 1920x1080 is 2K.

Look at that. From 3440x1440 @ 144 Hz, costing $400 (last year), they went to a smaller monitor, 2560x1440 @ 165hz, costing $500. If that ain't a downgrade I don't know what is.

Always surprising to see companies doing that. Like they literally downgrade their product line and reviewers don't even notice. It would have been comical if it wasn't as sad...

Anonymous, 15 Aug 20212k? in 2021?Even 1080p is still widely used so I don't know what you're trying to imply

                                        IPS panel is bad.
