No SD card, no samsung health senzor no jack, why should I buy it? For the 100x zoom which is bad and has no sharpness?
Thanks but no, for the day to day photos I'm very satisfied with the s8+ , there's no big difference between s8+ and s21 ultra. Even my s10 plus its doing a great job. S21 no good, in the future I think I'll change the company, and buy from another company an android phone

Charging $100-150 less than predicted is not gonna boost sales.
They would in the end need to sell much more units to recover just this "discount".
This is not how business works.
Phones are expensive ? Yes. Because many components are new every year and they cost more. If people stop buying phones within first 5 months or buy only last generation, then companies can start realize number of people willing to pay that much is shirinking.
Buy 5ii instead of 5iii.
Buy P40 Pro instead of P50 Pro.
Buy mi10 pro instead of mi11 ultra.
Buy OP8 Pro instead of 9 Pro.
Buy S20+ instead of 21+.
Buy iphone 11 pro instead of 12 pro.
You will be saving $200-300 in most cases.
Instead of buying phones that sometimes are not even 5% better than last year.
My current phone is 2015 device.
I got it 11 months after its announcement for 60% ofminitial price.

several reason why sales are down:
1: The cost, £1200 for a phone is ludicrous regardless of its components.
2: there is so much choice in the ecosystem now compared to lets say even 5 years ago.
3: removing some features is a big no no for some die hard users, for me it was the SD card, living in a rural location means cloud storage is not up to scratch here.
4: we are in a pandemic which will have hampered a lot of sales for the more expensive brands in the android world
5: people are upgrading less and less due to the rising costs of handsets.
6: many devices from many manufacturers are just itterative upgrades, nothing reomtely exciting happens really for 2-3 generation.
7: design is plateaued most phones from most brands look identical/very similar.
8: market saturation
9: slow adoption of 5G globally in many markets
10: lack of refinement in some areas, for me in the cameras the post processing algorithms are still shockingly bad, which is a shame because the cameras themselves are often some of the best but let down by unrealistic tone and cartoon processing.
11: trying to be too much like apple, when in fact apple are not so great at all
I could go on easily but you get the jist
