Does this mean that the Z Fold3 5G won't have a charger in the box?

Anonymous, 10 Aug 2021"Rip everyone else off" isn't how I see it. ... more"If you didn't need the charger, you've been ripped off. If you did need the charger you've still been ripped off as you could have gotten a smaller, more powerful or multiport one for the money" so essentially what you're saying is that people needs to separately buy a charger despite paying for a hefty premium in order for them to get the best deal. wow...you're what's wrong with this world.

with that logic, luxury cars shouldn't include engines so after purchasing them, the owner can get a better engine for their said car.

no matter what angle you look at this, removing the charger from the box is pathetic and greedy. I'd rather have something I don't need than not have something I need.

the best implementation here is Samsung should issue a voucher in the box so buyers can avail a free charger if they need one and if not, just pay no attention to it. it's the best of both worlds

Anonymous, 10 Aug 2021So because you don't need a charger means it's ok... more"Rip everyone else off" isn't how I see it. Chargers cost money to make, package and ship. They increase the price of your product even if you don't see it as a customer. They're also usually poor compared to third party chargers, maybe they're low power or maybe they've only got one port.

Say you've got a $970 phone bundled with a $30 charger. If you didn't need the charger, you've been ripped off. If you did need the charger you've still been ripped off as you could have gotten a smaller, more powerful or multiport one for the money. Buying the phone alone for $970 then having the choice of buying or not buying chargers, that's the best deal for everyone.

Cheap as chips. Hoped they'd make one at 5000£, this one is too light for my pocket

I will just look for a good 7 inch Tablet. Does teh galaxy fold really deserve to be sold at such stupendous prices? That's what one puts for a very very high end laptop. Bye Samsung Galaxy fold (A phone for Rappers and Social Media influencers)

DMX, 10 Aug 202124w charger in a 2,000 dollar phone? but this is a joke right?I'm fine with them not including a charger. All around me are 65W+ USB PD chargers so this 24W one would go either in the bin or in storage. As for slow charging, different needs I guess. I prefer slow charging and limiting the maximum charge to extend battery lifespan, my phone spends maybe 3 hours at a time away from mains power.

I was reminded of the thinkpad x1 fold the other day, that had a foldable screen with 6H hardness like glass instead of 2H like the galaxy fold 1 and 2. The x1 was stylus compatible, I wonder whether Samsung has licensed that layer this time and what prevented them in the past, maybe minimum curve radius?
