Bending is least of ROG 5's concern. It has big passive cooling proiblems which leads to throttling. Performance under sustained load is a valid use case for a gaming phone, not bending it like a maniac or opening bottles with it. Who cares if it bends. The problem is it runs too damn hot.

JohnPieux, 12 Aug 2021Will it snap in half or have they addressed the issue?and you think that Jerry Rig Whatever actually simulates real-world usage? Youtube is an avenue for the uninformed to make instant analyses and shower it on the public and make money with videos longer than 10minutes (like that Brownlee - lol 8.5 M views for why he 'got' a vehicle that does not even exist and that has been delayed yet again; and that was almost 2 years back)

Like literally the only bit of information we need on this phone.... WILL IT BEND?!
Passed on the 5 due to this, but really wanted it to be good. Still on a Note8 with burn-in, lag, freezing, etc. and really overdue for a new phone. I am eyeballing the Z Fold3, but... really wanted to move away from the same old Samsung One UI experience and Bixby and enjoy something a little different. Anyone who's thinking of recommending an iPhone can just burn. Had one, hated it, never again! Android is the way to go for the foreseeable future.

Will it snap in half or have they addressed the issue?

It may sound exaggerated, but I am sure of it, Android still lacks much more power, we do not have open world games that are not emulated like for example Zelda (Apart from Genshin), there is not much power for rendering, there is no efficiency or power to keep games at 60 fps or on the best processors with better configurations, there is still time for Moore's law, plus RAM, ROM and power never hurt

ASUS does not update ROG phones more than once. ROG 2 is still stuck on android 10, people are still waiting for 11. One major update for any ROG Phone is really pathetic

Otherwise if it had microsd then 128gb would be enough for me, most of my stuff would be on the microsd anyhow.

The Android Freak, 11 Aug 2021Yes. No person needs more than 8GB of ram on their phones. ... moreThen You are not A gamer and this phone is Not for you.

Eggns alone take as Much as 9GB ram, and that you run 2d and some lightweight switch games. Heavy games in future will require more than that.

Eggns is based on stolen codes from Yuzu, yuzu Recommended specs is 16GB of ram and minimum specs of 8GB ram.

Did they do any changes to the design? This phone failed JerryRigEverything durability test

                                    Only 18gb.!!!
Android os will occupy over 50%
So that leaves 8-9 gb to actually use.
If you cannot cope with "only" 8gb of ram, what are you running on a phone that needs more ?
Cos I'd suggest a bit of code editing would probably help more than extra ram.

Clearly you haven't meat members of GSMarena lol because they seem to think on here that a phone needs to come with 16GB ram and 1TB storage.. so they can play pubg and codm
