I am glad Motorola has the upper hand. I think they are better than Apple when it comes to phones. What patents did Apple use from Motorola? My iphone 4s gets no signal at home while my Atrix HD get full bars. I went to a family party the other day and noticed that my whole family owns Motorola phones. My family is at least 10 years older than me and remember the days of the first mobile phone

cnick, 06 Nov 2012Dude you are getting nervous and this is bad for the health... moreWrong!

Apple does not have the patent to (all) multitouch capacitive screens, it just has a patent (#7,663,607) to a very specific implementation of this kind of displays.

They did not invent multitouch! They just tweaked it a little for their purposes and patented the tweaks!

Anonymous, 06 Nov 2012 what?! crApple too stingy to pay royalty for copying?! ... moreDude you are getting nervous and this is bad for the health. It's not about copying anithins as you may think?

You know who has a pattent over multitouch capacitive screen? Apple
You know who has a pattent over a whatever other pattent? Motorola, maybe Nokia, Maybe Samsung...

If let's say Motorola doesn't want to make smartphones with touchscreens that need brute force to be operated and likes Apple's way must pay a fee to Apple(decided by agreement)for every smartphone sold. If Apple thinks their smartphone is stupid and want's to integrate "whatever other pattent" in it must pay a fee to Motorola, Samsung ... whatever the ovner is for every smartphone sold.

Apple just doesn't play nice(and they'll probably feel the consequences in court), it's not about any copying.
