I wish Telegram was the most popular messaging app, I only use WhatsApp because everyone uses it, whatsapp is so backwards on its features, image quality is crap, upload size limit hasn't changed for years.

Lol, this should've come many years ago so that I & many others could migrate from WP easily without losing all the chats in the process!
I think the more big a company becomes aka the more profit they rake in, the more settled they become and stop doing stuff

Honestly, this could have been done years ago. Why WhatsApp did not want to implement this before ? Absolute joke.
Could have been done by doing a backup to google drive on iPhones as well. This is not even too difficult in terms of writing code. Guess nobody cared before, or maybe everyone is thinking that Apple customers are there for the taking ?
Either way shame on WhatsApp/ Facebook for not doing it 10 years ago
