Android 12 Beta 4 rolling out to Pixel phones with Platform Stability

PhoneFreak45, 17 Aug 2021What part of BETA do you not understand It's not fini... morethe source of the anger is that VPNs & Ad Blockers were working just fine in Beta 3, they are disabled in Beta 4 yet Android erroneously reports that connections are active & secure with the little key thingy. A lot of people may have gotten in big trouble with their work thinking their connection was secure (as reported). Some people need VPN functionality to work from home. Those people may have thought that since VPNs were working since the very first Beta release, they would be working in the very latest Public Beta that Google called stable.

Furthermore, because some of those people pay money monthly for VPNs & Ad Blockers, they might be put off when Google says their Internal Beta is fixed already but they're going to wait until the next Public Beta to fix the issue.

I'm not saying those people are in the right, only that they're probably angry at the crappy situation they have little control over...

    It's not finished by any means, and stable is kinda relative... it might not boot loop but that doesn't mean everything is gonna work as it should

            My Pixel 4XL after update to Android 12 beta 4 , all of VPNs is not working :((((

              VPNs do not work in Android 12 Beta 4. They say it'll be fixed in Beta 5. There is much anger in the community...
