And thanks to OPPO, I get to enjoy fast charging without worrying too much about battery degradation.

I'm happy with 33 and 66 Watt fast wired charging. Would like to see battery technology improve.

Like reading a robot speach. I HATE corporate answers. What's the point of doing an interview with those guys? Clickbait?

            The 2 questions I have:
What is the use of liscensing Vooc to third party companies if the original phones of other companies do not even use Vooc standards?
I wish there is a published and updated list of 3rd party companies that liscensed so we keep an eye for products from them. I am very interested in car companyies since no one is putting pressure on them to put fast chargers in their cars!

AnonD-994853, 16 Aug 2021Better than Apple, Pixel and Samsung's crappy chargingAs with anything, there is always pros and cons. Fast charging degrades the battery, let's all agree on that. Apple and the other brands you mentioned are probably more interested in getting a longer battery life than to degrade it. As Apple alone, provides up to 5 years of support for their phones. Android can only muster 2 years.

Missed opportunity to ask about charging technologies like MMT charging

                  Parralel batteries /charging

Charging by increasing volts versus current

I would have love to hear then talk about those .. but these questions were a bit too generic in my opinion

But appreciate the effort non the less

Do batteries with more mah. Not with faster charge speeds. I do not carry 200gram charger and 1meter cable everywhere with me. On my bike. When going in the park. and whatever. insane.

Charging alone isn't going to be a deciding factor here. It's just an amazing quality of life spec that once you start using, it's difficult to stop. Almost identical to the higher refresh rate screens.

For example, with the speed of 65W SuperVOOC and full charge/discharge of the battery, the technology can maintain 80% of its original battery capacity after 1,500 charge cycles. The safety technologies OPPO adopts today are enough to ensure safe charging for our consumers. OPPO will keep innovating in safety technologies.
Oppo 65W fills up 4500mah Battery in just 29 minutes and the temperature is below 40°C.

Better than maybe Xiaomi's 67W which takes about 20% of battery capacity for every 800 cycles. And charges to full at 36 minutes but is above 40°C

Generally, how important do you reckon charging speed is for the average consumer? With the world’s two largest manufacturers clearly lagging behind in the charging speed race, it appears that a large number of people are either unaware of the existence of faster standards or not particularly interested in them. Do you plan on focusing more of your marketing efforts on VOOC going forward?

Well that's true for about 2 months ago where the crappy Apple and Samsung are leading witg their snail slow chargers. Samsung will soon release their 65W chargers and leave Apple and Pixels in dust

Dude the future of the smartphones is not all about charging.
May be first you should talk about what happened to oppo
After releasing find X2 pro which had pretty good camera setup, amazing screen, even the vegan leather surrounding the back was super premium..you need to step up your game specially with your flagship line up..look what's Samsung did with the flip 3 which cost around 1000 USD and will be cheaper in a few months..honor is back with Google services and snappy although with a crazy price tag, they are trying to be back in the game..
not everyone can afford rollables or foldables in the future..

Better than Apple, Pixel and Samsung's crappy charging

When a battery lasts all day I don't care if it takes all night to charge.

What would be great is a phone where you don't need to spend a whole day disabling OEM garbage/spyware in ADB and then disabling background CPU & data for 100 tasks that have no right to it. A typical phone straight out of the box loses 45% of the battery a day to spyware, OEM ads, and analytics collectors. Samsung is extra special in that they have enough junk to kill a battery in 8 hours without any interaction. A clean phone loses 15% to 20% a day (not counting use).

I seem to remember the Find 7 ratting out apps using power in the background. It was custom-ROM friendly so I don't remember if that was stock or not. For times when I really needed fast charging, I packed a second battery. Yeah, it was swappable on that phone.
