The surface area of the Flip 3 screen is about 10% smaller, 22:9 vs 20:9 aspect ratio. The S21+ screen brightness also goes up to 1,300 nits, while it's limited to 1,200 nits on the Flip 3.

I have owned the original Z Flip for one and a half years and I can say for its petite size with a 6.7" screen, it has great battery life.

It is a thin phone when unfolded. It has to be thin to make it feel really compact when folded up. These phones are a lot thinner than Airpod Pro cases when they're in your pocket. A lot thinner. If you've never handled or used a Z Flip you should really go to a store and check them out. It's an engineering marvel.

Phone camera quality has been stagnant for the past 10 years. Sure, better zoom (optical) or bohek effect is now in some cameras but overall most normal-use pictures from my historical Galaxy S4 aren't much worse than what my Note 20 Ultra can do. I guess that incredibly tiny space will limit phone cameras forever.

You ... more#Agree, especially Xiaomi XD always get complained about MIUI while they put so much effort in software lol. I think 80% of the population are sarcastic so just let it be. This is the world now...

You put top specs and increase price, people complain. You put some average spec and reduce price (even if you put a lot of upgrade) still people complain. Im not saying its a bad thing to complain, but we also have to understand where these companies, like Samsung, are coming from.

When they made the Note series, people saw obvious difference with the S series, and they complained. When the Note series is almost identical to the S series, people still complained.

For me i liked that they kept the best cameras with the S series and made the Z series unique, people can then choose which is better and more important for them. If then, they need a great camera but still like the shiny new tech, then they would probably buy 2 phones which will be a win for the marketing.

I just swapped my Fold 2 so i can preorder the Fold 3, and boy do i miss the fold2 so much, i cant wait to get my hands on the new one. The experience of using the Fold is just so different from the normal slab - it is one of my most useful and functional phone ever. It is however, unfortunate where Im at, delivery will start on the 10th of September, so those getting it on the 27th consider yourself lucky.

Not to mention, these are the first few generations. Now's the time to make back the bulk of the humongous sum spent on R&D before the Chinese copy and trash the market.

Anonymous, 15 Aug 2021Buds2 vs Buds Pro? Which is better?Buds Pro imho, since I expect Samsung to deliver software update to bring the software of the Buds2, like they did with Buds+ when Buds Pro came out ;-)

...a lot of competition got better cameras but is nowhere close to availability of samsung folds, 2nd gen going for 1200euro already, 1st for 999. There is basically only Samsung if you don't want to order xiaomi fold from china.

I think it's ridiculous to compare the Huawei Mate X2 to the Galaxy Fold 3 when it comes to camera quality. Who wants to pay $1000 on TOP of what Samsung was able to offer this year? The incentives were STEEP this year to get people to switch over. It can't get any better than it is. I wouldn't be surprised if Samsung is losing money on these Folds just to get them into people's hands and get better numbers and data to figure out how to go forward for next years upgrade.

I do wish the outer display was a touch bigger, but its very usable. I don't know how I'll feel about it in daily use, but messing around with it for a couple mins in Best Buy wasn't a bad experience by far. Can't wait for the end of the month when my pre-order will be coming in.

                                Hum drum.....

                                  21+ has 4500mAh, Flip3 has 3300.

I was user of Galaxies from i9000 till S10 and now switched to Xiaomi. With my S10 I got amazing offer on Galaxy Active that I'm currently using and was wondering is it a time to change. Knowing that this actually is NOT clean WearOS I'll have to pass on Watch4. Samsung mobile department is declining each year from 2019 and it's obvious why, by locking ecosystem in a way to change it into kinda iOS they are failing. Even with my Samsung tablet I'm unable to connect to watch, it simply have no sense at all. Andoir users simply don't like this kind of moves...

Strange they didn't talk about the battery life of the foldable. Tiny battery especially on the flip doesn't look promising.
