The sales articles posted here in the last month show Xiaomi's bread and butter are selling phones with flagship specs at entry level prices. When it comes to selling expensive phones, Apple dominates regardless of specs. The Mix sales, much like the Z Fold will be a fraction of what Apple sells.
Also, what you've said about the iphone is premature. The iphone 13 will have 5g and 120hz across the lineup. No one believes these features are more overrated than me, but that is what everyone expects from their phone. The sales projections are already high.

JPEG is not how you measure sensor capability.
Also, raw file from Sharp r6 is obviously gonna beat any phone.
Hardware advantage is huge.

In a few months ago(likely March or April,2021),the VP Lu WeiBing said they hope they can sell more phone than samsung in the end of 2023------they reach the goal at June,2021,just two months later.

ceramic back panel is the reason why producation is limited...and why it is 225g heavy (the ceramic back panel is 57grams, 22g-27g heavier than the same size glass back, if the Mix4 use glass back, it can be somewhere between 198g to 203g)
Xiaomi dont have too much confidence about their flagship now( since in the past they only product flagship killer standard phone as their top series, the Mi10 series is the first phone can be considered as flagships(maybe Mi Note can be considered as flagship too but Sd810 make it as a failure))
Their new blacklight factory,which aim to produce high end phone,will be complete at the end of 2022, can produce 10 millions high end smartphone(for Mi number series pro and ultra(successor of Mi11Pro/Ultra) and Mix series)

This phone is 225 grams. It's way too heavy. I would never buy such an overpriced phone, but even if I did I wouldn't be able to take it anywhere because of its size and weight.

Nice try Xiaomi but I'm not falling for the trick. I can get a different Xiaomi phone with 120hz amoled display for about £250, so I don't need to buy this.

It's not very comfortable to have to fight to buy a phone. It's like the Mi11ultra, I don't find EU version anymore, only unreliable Hong Kong sellors with CN versions ...

Well all that has changed. China and in fact all there brands are simply way better than anything Apple has to offer or anything even in the future that Apple has to offer...
Honestly... Who in there right mind would prefer an apple iPhone 13 pro max compared to xiaomi's flagships?
Seriously. Apple is honestly nothing compared what China is bringing out. I would prefer a Mediatek Dimensity device or Qualcomm 888+ over an A14.
Xiaomi, oppo, vivio, IQOO, Asus, Oneplus, Huawei, honor, infinix, you name it... Are all way better than Apple (the most un-innovative company in the world right now).

Specs are nice but not a huge fan of the big, protruding main camera of the Mix 4. I really liked the clean look of the first Mi Mix and Mix 2.

Looks like a very good phone tbh. Xiaomi deserves praise unlike Huawei/BBK and all the copycats
