Hopefully it will have an under-display fingerprint reader, instead of these side mounted ones which seem to be popping up everywhere.

Business is business. They going to improve the other previous phone in terms of specific spec but remove or change the internal specs which is great from the new one.
Example they change the camera mp from previous phonr but the chipset is still the same..nothing is change

However, recommending that youtube channel for a camera comparison is a complete joke. He just takes a very limited sample in all his reviews and in the comparison you are referring to. I'd prefer to look at DXO reviews or even the ones here than random youtube videos that don't even provide the original samples. My main point is that it's an inferior sensor to the HMX. Some people seem to be claiming it's a flagship sensor. Yet it's not used on any flagship phones.

xMoroccan, 16 Aug 2021We want Xiaomi Mi 11T Pro to pack SAMOLED 6.4" 90hz SD... moreWith the Oneplus Nord 2, you got everything you wanted except the 5k battery, 4x zoom lens, and the Snapdragon chipset brand. Dimensity 1200 is as powerful as Snapdragon 870. If you wanted that kind of phone, then maybe you could consider S20 Ultra with snapdragon 865 next year. This year it has already dropped to $650. Maybe next year will be around $450

John, 16 Aug 2021On paper, I agree. But in practice, HMX only does 4-to-1 pi... moreThe actual Pixel size of HM2 is 0.7 microns. And HMX has 0.8 microns. Pixek Binned pixel size can be misleading. Then can you explain why S21 Ultra has worse Lowlight video than Iphone 12 Pro Max despite having 2.4 microns 9 in 1 binning rather than the 12 Pro Max 1.8 microns?

Anonymous, 17 Aug 2021You are judging HM2 Sensor photo quality based on Mid range... moreWell, HM2 doesn't fare good on the K40 Pro+/Mi11i either, judging from the review pics on this site, and that phone uses SD888. Also HMX doesn't always come with flagship cpu, remember Mi Note 10? It uses SD730, yet it's still praised for its imaging capabilities, especially the main sensor.
HM2 is the 'cheap' 108MP meant to be used on budget devices. It's good, heck even great when low-priced midrangers like RN10P and Realme8P starts using it, but its quality is still below other HM series.

Anonymous, 17 Aug 2021Your comment clearly demonstrates you know nothing about ca... moreNah, it is also mediocre on the mi11i and k40 pro+. Look at the performance on dxo or the comparison here with the hmx. The shutter speed is also very slow even with the flagship chip. Just look at the image samples here or on dxo and check the slow shutter speed which will result in unclear pics with any subject movement or shake when the lighting is not great. In your opinion beating the galaxy note series in a few pics means nothing to me. This will happen with many phones. Samsung price it cheaper and its used on cheaper phones for a reason

HM2 with mid range ISP will obviously not give the best results.
Go look at results with flagship ISP, in some images, even the Galaxy Note series was behind the HM2.

Anonymous, 17 Aug 2021Why do you even try to discredit DXOMark? Do you think came... moreNo one needs to "try" to discredit DxOMark, they already did a pretty good job at discrediting themselves over the years. Case and point: they sell "consultancy" services to the phone manufacturers to help them improve the scores -- too bad the camera quality is second priority in that "consultancy," as is shown over and over again when a manufacturers uses their service and the score for that new model immediately improves over the previous gen.
The funny thing is DxO pulled this stunt so many times over the years that "the straw that broke the camel's back" (i.e., the phone that blatantly does not deserve that score/position) varies from person to person.
