          Which is stupid.

This is a site where people go bonkers if the latest phone is 1% slower on the AnTuTu benchmarks so not exactly for "casual people". I just wanted to point out that it is much better to simply use "power" rather than "current" when talking about a phone charger. That's it. I will survive anyway.

Given that GSMArena is based in Sofia, Bulgaria, I wouldn't be surprised if it applies to them too.

"Electrical current" is not meant as the actual current measured in amperes, it's a broad definition of electrical flow within wires. Just like rivers have current that doesn't mean they have it measured in amperes or even have anything to do with electricity. Tidal currents are also a thing yet have nothing to do with amps. It's the same here. It's a figure of speech. You can be really anal about it, but that's for electrical engineers and doesn't necessarily applies to casual people.

zaryan, 20 Aug 2021Power (watts) = current x voltageExactly. I know that voltage is fixed in a phone charger but doesn't mean that Watts become a measure for current.
